Great to see some LR for Vic... anyone had a Blue with Black LR confirmed yet??????
That seems super similar to me, wonder if we have cars stuck on the QLD/NSW boats? So probably could add another month after their EDDs

Have notified my novated lease company to prep for final...
I'm assuming I still have 4-6 weeks to wait for it to get from China to Aus AND through the docks..

Final invoice has now finalised my Finance. (Novated lease EV Tax / NSW )
Should this help anyone else looking to max out their Novated lease Tax benefit...
(Today's) Buy Cash price : $86,526
Novated lease final: $86,488 (Rental repayments x 36 month + payout fee to own)
Lease costs : $2239 /m
Difference to Monthly Pay: $1,333/m (Car+Annual Comprehensive Insurance + Fee)
Reasons why this is worth it (to me):
- $0 Post tax deduction (Reduces my tax threshold with minimal impact to my post tax pay)
- Reduces my tax bracket from 45%+
- More money upfront to invest / save for other things in life
- Sell my existing vehicle now at "top dollar" to set aside for ownership (will invest meanwhile)
- I excluded Rego costs as I receive free rego from using NSW Tolls.

I must be getting a pretty good deal from my NL;
RRP $88,506 vs Novated lease 36mth: $76,110
~$12.4k savings
And that's excluding the potential interest lost by using cash (around 5%pa)
Breakdown:
36 months x $1604 lease payments (7.44% int rate) + $113 LCA + $39 lease & finance fees = $63,216
Apply tax effect: 1 - tax rate - medicare (1 - 45% - 2%) * $63,216 = $33,504
Add the residual payout (46.88% + GST) = $42,606
Total outlay $76,110
Note: excludes all running costs as it's a self-managed lease
For anyone interested the out of pocket is ~$931 per month
