Yesterday was the day! I went to pick up my car in Calgary, but I had to delay delivery due to a few issues. They're keeping the car to fix them and hopefully it will be ready in a few days.

I had a dirt or dust particle underneath the paint on the front passenger quarter panel that was a noticeable bump. There was a rather large bump on the driver side weather stripping that looked quite bad. I know it would really bother me looking at it every time I open the driver door. Last issue was some delivery tape or something that was left on the passenger side rocker panel between the two doors.

Other than that the car looked amazing. Panel gaps were good. Hopefully I get it back in a few days. The Delivery Specialists were quite understanding and apologetic.

While talking to the Delivery Specialist, they told me they are expecting to get slammed for the next 2 months with deliveries in Calgary. They are expecting about 200 cars in the next couple of months. While I was there, a trailer full of Model 3's was being off loaded.

Sorry to hear about the issues with your car. The good thing is that they will make it right. Did they get registration done for you or did you do it? I had my insurance broker send me a pink card for the Tesla, and I forwarded it to Tesla because my insurance was expiring. Haven’t heard back.

It's all good. They were really understanding. I didn't want to be one of those nit-picky kinda guys, but I guess I ended up being one.

They took care of registration and put the new plates on it for me.

Supposed to be Friday the 21st. But she indicated it could be sooner.

I got an e-mail on Sept 6th that stated my M3 would be available the week of Sept 24 to Oct 1. It went on to ask which day do I want and AM or PM. I replied immediately but there has been radio silence since. MyTesla still shows a Sept-Nov window. No VIN. Do you and Grrreg have VINs?

No email or phone call, just the website update. No VIN as yet but expect that with the bill of sale and for insurance.

I never got a call or email. Delivery date just showed up on my Tesla page. I called the SC and got my vin.109752. She said my car will arrive this week so may schedule earlier than the original Sept 21.

Well TESLA is really pumping out the cars now. That's a lot of VINs in just a few months.

Yeah, agreed. I recognize the following is filled with assumptions, but just for fun:
I got mine June 2 and it's VIN is 29xxx which was fairly typical at the time. Sept 21 is 16 weeks later and a VIN 80,000 higher than mine. (80,000 / 16w) * 13w = 65,000 in 13 weeks which is a quarter -- and that's assuming equal production every week, but we know production now is much faster than it was in June. I'm looking forward to Q3 numbers!

Totally. I saw a vin 106xxx at Canmore Supercharger two days ago. It was a red performance model from Vancouver. It makes my June 18xxx Model 3 feel old.

I was wondering the same thing. I'd like to get some sportier rims and tires next summer, so I'm thinking of putting winter tires on the stock 18" rims.

I bought the 18" aero wheel (without the cover or sensor) for $1,000 at the Tesla store. As for winter tires I bought the Nokia Hakka 9 on eBay during the 15% off and got a set for $850 shipped to the border.

What are you going to do for sensors? Are you just going to reuse the ones that came with it?

Where did you find a performance to drive? I only drove the rear wheel drive at the service center.

They have the Performance now for test drives. It's blue with white interior and all options - including the Performance Package with lowered suspension. I measured it to about 1" lower than stock.
