Ok, I stand corrected. Once you’re in you’re in with set number of shares then, until a rebalance takes place. Rebalance only based on changes in float of (potentially any) name in the index, correct?

The only mistake is not buying more at a certain price level or not shaking the couch hard enough!Sell 100 LOC @ 1101, in case things get crazy in the closing cross. Would then execute 2 Jan 550s.
Depends on employers I think.
I cannot trade options in my fidelity brokeragelink account, not even ETFs. Only mutual funds are allowed. So my account is full of Barons Partners and Barons Focused Growth. It has 40% TSLA and 3% SpaceX. As close as I can get to maximize investment in Musk companies with that account.

Really striking to see the SPY tracking TSLA as one basket of stocks have to be sold to buy TSLA. The bots truly are all powerful.

Nasdaq regulators secretly conferred whether to lift TSLA's +10% rally circuit breaker, to allow more liquidity today. Presumably they were worried about an index squeeze halting the stock and amplifying the squeeze.

What happens if the Stock closes between 1000 and 1500? Would you have to buy the 200 shares at a 1000 even if you haven’t sold the shares at 1500?

In that case he'd just keep his shares and sell the calls for their intrinsic value instead of exercising them.

That happens when shares in 500 other stocks worth $80 billion have to be sold to make place for TSLA.
This is the first day since the listing in 2010 where macros follow TSLA, instead of the other way around. Hopefully there will be many more when it becomes the world's most valuable stock.
