The other way to do it is to have a government mandated flag day, on which all manufacturers agree to swap any CCS Type 1 charge connector assemblies in cars for CCS Type 2, free adapters from J1772 to Type 2 provided (so the huge mass of existing AC charge stations still work), and all DC fast charging station owners swap the CCS heads from Type 1 to Type 2. But, the US isn't big on large actions like that.

There would be a lot of industry push against going to Type 2 because the Standards Committee came up with CCS Type 1 after years of wrangling. Keeping Type 1 means that the European manufacturers can't just ship equipment (which is the idea behind a separate standard).

Super important. The news out of Tesla and China is super bullish. Today, shorts will likely be calling in favors to paid media or others financial actors to try to control share price move. If we see any weird - out of the blue article or all of a sudden news, etc. chances are strong the source is on the take somehow. It’s always easy to spot a cockroach when the lights turn on and you lift the sofa. Today - lights are on - let’s collectively lift the sofa

Also - let me predict the future here a bit. Tesla will open a bit down as the market makers try to push the price down so they can maneuver their holdings and option bets. Think of a beach ball being pushed under water. Should rise after that during the day. This is just my conjecture and not an advice. Do you your own due diligence.

On a positive news moment, with the stock up big, CNBC gives Tesla about a ten second quick blurb, but they did mention that they are raising prices and 16 models?? don't know if that makes sense, but 16 models tax exempt.

I think the price increase due to Yuan weakness is about 2.5%, but I think only on some models. Whereas this tax exemption will apply across all models. So anywhere from 10% to 7.5% discount. Correct me if I am wrong.

Also, of course, a *planned* 25% tariff increase in December on imported models.
