Immediate availability might stimulate demand (and nearly immediate positive cash flow) for candy, but not cars. Buyers have to settle existing loans or leases and tend to haggle over the trade-in value of their existing ride. Many are on call lists for SRs, and there are no reports any have been contacted about near-term availability.

One last interesting comment on the Norway numbers--folks will claim that it's all Model 3, and of course the Model 3 is responsible for the lion's share of the jump. But this month's Model X registrations alone demolish Feb 2018 and Feb 2017 total Tesla registrations in the country. So clearly the S/X don't appear to be waning over there.

Gotta love them Norwegians! Have a lot of relatives over there (although none own a Tesla... yet). Ya sure you betcha!

This alert on the Tesla Order page can eliminate some possibilities.

For instance, I don't think this would be used to just announce a loan payment

Not for any kind of merger announcement or purchase announcement

It has to be something closely related to the Tesla Product lines - FSD, SuperCharger, Price cut, Leasing, Tesla Insurance or something like new service plan, new colors or something battery related.
