Tesla "we'are closing stores". TMC: brilliant
Tesla "We'are not closing stores" TMC: "Outstanding move"
It’s this type of groupthink that can be dangerous
"There will be no price increase to the $35,000 Model 3. The price increases will only apply to the more expensive variants of Model 3, as well as Model S and X."
Is this to be interpreted as that anything above SR Model 3 gets the 3% increase or as the more expensive Model 3s gets the increase, while the less expensive, including SR, SR+, (maybe MR?) doesn't get the increase?
My thinking is that they should not raise the price of the SR+, unless demand is indeed through the roof (as @Papafox suggests). SR+ w/Autopilot option seems to be the best deal and will also generate good margins and volume for Tesla.
Apple sales folks don't get commission, right?
Oooff, why didn't they evaluate the store situation properly BEFORE announcing drastical changes?
I support their change of mind but it doesn't look professional at all. Completely unnecessary drama.

Interesting that Elon has just said ok to a *new* store in Perth. It’s worth checking out Perth on the map to get a feel for the geography.
Couldn’t be more clear. Only the $35000 Model 3 will stay the same. Nothing to speculate.
I suspect Tesla saw significantly increased foot traffic and walk-in purchases.
