Wasn't there some exec from Ford promising to refund dealer-scalping on the M-E?
Funny, customers don't mind scalping dealers. Like Bolt owners scalping Chevrolet dealers $15k worth.

I don't really get your point, TBH, but I think we both, and pretty much everyone who reads this, will agree that the US dealer model sucksFunny, customers don't mind scalping dealers. Like Bolt owners scalping Chevrolet dealers $15k worth.
I disagree, I've been hanging here for five years now and I still get insights on such posts, granted maybe not as much as when I started investing and knew zilch about the dark world of stock manipulation, but there are plenty of new folks that might pass by that have no clue about thisOn manipulation and intraday patterns:
getting old
I wish others would just shut up about it
if real, exploit and profit
if real, and so predictable, reporting on it before during after is kind of like saying the sun came up, the sun is coming up, look out for the sun to come up later on.

Hmm, more Kabuki Theatre than shell game, I think...The whole stock market is nothing more than a shell game played by the wealthy and powerful to engineer more wealth and power for themselves.
Question: what does “properly positioned“ mean? In my simple, non-options brain, I imagine a bunch of TSLA synthetic shares sold to depress/control the SP providing time to sell a bunch of non-TSLA dog-sugar stock to raise cash so that real TSLA could be bought to cover the naked shorting AND accumulate the real deal. What I'm most impressed by is that TSLA now has a market cap north of $600 billion and yet it's this easily manipulated. The amount of wealth and power required to manipulate an S&P 500 component with that kind of market cap exists and we saw it deployed almost effortlessly to contain the SP last week until those with wealth and power were properly positioned and ready to let it rise. The whole stock market is nothing more than a shell game played by the wealthy and powerful to engineer more wealth and power for themselves.
Or maybe they unwind their synthetics pre-ER, spike the SP, sell 4/30 $900 cc's like they're going out of fashion, then naked short the hell out of $TSLA again on Tuesday 27th - create a "sell the news" event...Question: what does “properly positioned“ mean? Is that even close?
You're going to be so surprised when you find out that you're a simulation. On manipulation and intraday patterns:

Elon tries his best to prove that we live in a Simulation..You're going to be so surprised when you find out that you're a simulation.
Customers are never scalping dealers. If a dealer wants to part with a car with a $15k discount, it's because it still makes them more money than to keep it on the lot.Funny, customers don't mind scalping dealers. Like Bolt owners scalping Chevrolet dealers $15k worth.
I think optimistically they recognize about 50% of FSD revenue with v9 general release. Realistically perhaps closer to 35%. Still good though as software features like that are almost pure profit. So, FSD iz nearing GA (i.e. v1.0),this means they will recognice almost full amount of sold FSD as pure profit.
A billion, two, three?
Some was already recognized with smart summon. Someone here will know.>> Realistically perhaps closer to 35%.
Why only a half or a third? To leave a buffer for future?
That may be smart.
Elon is not saying it is to be-all-end-all-no-possible-improvement-left-complete, he is saying feature complete, needing no interventions in common situations.
What is a common situation is left to interpretation and allows him to decide what to do.
Beautiful.
@buttershrimp -- I think this thread is what you want: What other tech stock to consider?I got busted... how do I ask people’s input on Coinbase without getting booted off topic? Compare apples to oranges to crack.... thank you for shooting that arrow through row of axe handles for me.... if I can snatch some shares up before it bursts out, I shall plan to jump off that train at 150billion market cap!
What I think could be dropped is the continual posting of the current SP, I think we all have an open stock ticker in front of us, so it's necessary.
The general belief is that they have already recognized old FSD sales to around 50%. I think the latest note about this in the ER was probably 18 months or so ago. So probably still at that level. The $2 billion or whatever value on the books now is the remaining 50%I think optimistically they recognize about 50% of FSD revenue with v9 general release. Realistically perhaps closer to 35%.
