Pretty robust volume today as of 1:10 PM. I wouldnt be surprised if today was an Elon sales day and the larger funds waiting on the sidelines have started buying in.

I actually think the opposite considering the action of the stock since hitting the low for the day.

Seems like it was a clear intent to test the 100 day and the rally off of that.

As a follow up, my sister purchased some Jan2024 1200/1700c this morning for $80 on my advice last night during the dip this morning. While she got a killer investment opportunity, I missed the window due to my rant. Which just goes to show... no good comes of ranting!

I think I hear bells jingling in the distance for a Santa rally, too soon to tell.
Despite any upside pop over the holidays, I do anticipate another pullback on Covid fears in Jan, not this low as we raise the baseline… we hope. Back to 1200, then dips to 1100. It’s just a hunch based on how media keeps raising the topic with no new info. Earnings could break it away to new highest levels beyond this speed bump. Didn’t buy calls for this reason.

I did pick up a Jan 24 1200c around 893…didn’t spend all available funds in case we went lower (bottom of channel looks mid 800s), or in case I happened to convince the boss to take delivery of our Y. The latter appears to have been a successful effort so I’m pleased to be doing our part for Q4!

One can only hope that Elon learned something from this, and the next time he is planning to exercise shares he re-considers a private share offering through a broker, that is done in a day. The overall impact for him, and for all shareholders, would be far less pronounced.

I'd like to see some further strength from the stock in the final two hours. It's continually gotten weaker in the later hours of trading for much of the past couple of weeks. If it drifts back down to just even with the Nasdaq, then it's a clear sign they'll ride it close the 100 day for the rest of the week.

I’m not asking for much for Christmas. Just one little tiny thing.

My Christmas wish is to hit the ATH again… that is it. I’m not asking for a huge run… Peace on Earth would be fantastic but seems unrealistic. So just a nice little bounce back to the ATH. I’m not greedy, we can worry about $1,500/ share next year. This year, lets all just wish for ending the year at a 52 week high, even if just by a penny.

I've been keeping an eye on Tesla sales in Norway, not the least because it's very easy to follow every day through the site Elbilstatistikk everyone knows.

Model 3 is of course going to be the best selling car model in 2021 in Norway currently sitting at 11434 cars , above the nr 2 slot which is ID.4 at 8437 cars. Keep in mind no pure gasoline car is in the top 20 best selling model at all. The RAV 4 Prime/regular hybrid is around 8500 so might be second best selling car this year. For the cars you can get in EV/Hybrid/Pure gas version I'd guess the pure gas is maybe 10% of the models sales, like the Peugeot 2008 SUV.

Anyway the point was that Model Y is racing ahead, it might just finish as the second bestselling model in Norway for 2021 sitting now at 8072. It might also actually end up in 4th place behind the ID.4 and the RAV4, as I'm guessing all 3 will finish the year a few hundred cars apart. Currently the Nissan Leaf is the runner up with 6500 cars so that is obviously no contender.

Yes I know if you add the ID.4 8437, Skoda Enyaq 5890 and Audi Q4 e-tron 3109 they will come out ahead as they are "the same model". But it seems the official statistics does not count them together so M3 is pretty much a win at this point.

That Model Y would sell well in 4x4 SUV loving Norway was no big suprise, but that a sedan and not a liftback would still sell as well does suprise me.
