Tesla Van - Based off Semi??

Saw this on Instragram today - would make an awesome Camper Van (aka - Sportsmobile Sprinter Van style). Not sure who rendered it....

Most all RVs are made by "coach builders" even specialized trucks are build by "coach builders".
Google searches will reveal many names.companies. truck builders

Interesting, but I'd settle for a cargo van built on the second generation Model X. It would need to be tall enough that I could walk around in it with boots and a hat on; just like my 2004 Sprinter van.

Same waiting for TSLA to come out with a van and ill be replacing our fleet of Fiat Ducatos, which i am having nightmares with their “customer service” team. Amazing service from TSLA, and then the business fleet experience is downhill

Depending on the pickup truck, it would be based off of that not off of the semi.

My dream is for a van like this with 500+ mile range and fully autonomous on the interstate so I can sleep across Nebraska and parts of Wyoming. They make this and I can't give them my money fast enough.

The semi is designed around one front seat occupant. It's also designed to be a 80,000 lb vehicle. Neither works for a van.

What Tesla shows for its monster pickup may be the base vehicle for future light to medium duty trucks and vans. IIRC Musk said the pickup would seat three across.

Tesla has not yet shown a vehicle with a skateboard/chassis appropriate for future light to medium duty trucks and vans. It feels like the Tesla pickup has morphed from monster truck based on the semi to a more smaller vehicle that may be a new platform. Musk's confusing messaging on the pickup may be due to Tesla still evolving a strategy for trucks and vans.

The semi can be modified as a base vehicle for uses like heavy dump, garbage and concrete trucks. But not work commercial and pickups.
