My participation is in jeopardy because on Friday evening my P85D got sideswiped - Accident
Going to the bodyshop tomorrow but i doubt that it will be fixed in two weeks. Unless I get a Tesla rental :crying:

It was painful to see the damage to your car. I think you're right about the time to repair. Sorry to say that two weeks is unlikely.

"Cheesed off" is a very polite way for you to describe what you must be feeling.

Really sorry to see/hear that! I just got my car back about a week ago after someone backed into her in a parking lot and dented the front hood... So I know the pain! We have another person driving down from Collingwood, Ontario. He is coming down a little early to visit family in White Plains, NY (right near me) and we will be caravanning down to the event. Would you like me to reach out to him to see if you can tag along?

Did the person driving from Oklahoma ever get in touch with you? I told her you'd be driving from CA and might be taking the newer route east through Kansas and MO and perhaps she could caravan with you. I pointed her to this and the other thread that arijay started.

PS - I live in NY and after the event (Sunday morning) myself and a Boston friend Ben (cinergi - Sig Owner) will be driving up to Lewes, DE and taking the Cape May Ferry across to Cape May, NJ and continuing up from there - much more scenic but about the same amount of time to drive up DE back into NJ - Would you like to join us? I think we will shoot for the 11:15am ferry - it's 1.25 hour drive at 43 miles from Salisbury. Then 108 miles from Cape May to the Hamilton, NJ Supercharger.

I haven't heard from her. Would love to tag along to NY if u don't mind (Used to live in Westchester) :)

OK!

Let me get in touch with my Boston buddy who will be in the caravan as well as the person from Canada to see if they are interested as well.

We will need to make reservations for the ferry in order to get spots.

Drive Your Tesla on the Boardwalk!

All -

We have some exciting news to share. @TeslaRoadTrip 2015 has been granted unprecedented access to park a row of Teslas to display along a nearly 300 yard stretch of Ocean City's famous boardwalk. While the town of Ocean City has hosted many car events, we are told that @TeslaRoadTrip will be the first group ever to display cars in this coveted area between the beach and boardwalk.

On the afternoon of Saturday, April 18th we'll have our cars parked on the concrete “tramway” adjacent to the wooden planks, just a few steps from Fun City Arcade, Fisher's Popcorn and other popular "OC" establishments. This is the beachfront's center of activity with lots of people walking around and is an awesome spot for photos!

Afterwards, we plan to parade north on the boardwalk itself -- complete with police escort -- then out to the street where we will head to Salisbury to freshen up before dinner.

We are thrilled about this new addition to the Reach the Beach event and Ocean City's unique welcome for us. If you haven't done so already, register now and guarantee your spot on the boardwalk. This may be a once in a lifetime opportunity and space is limited.

More information and registration at www.teslaroadtrip.org.

P.S. Please help us spread the word. Forward this to your Tesla driving friends and share on social media.

That is so cool. How did you pull that off? Great work!

It took a lot of hard work from the team including applications, visits to Ocean City to appear in front of the city council and a lot of time learning about and obtaining the proper insurance for the event. All-in-all a good learning experience for future @TeslaRoadTrip events as they get bigger and better!

Was at the bodyshop yesterday and was very impressed by the cleanliness and expertise in the shop. The manager took the time to show and explain what they were doing to each of the Teslas in there. Parts for my car are on the way and there is a glimmer of hope that I will attend the "Reach the Beach" extravaganza after all. The decals are longing to be applied.

Really looking forward to having us all parked on the beach. Can't wait to see some aerial video footage too, from the various drone cameras that I'm sure many of you will be filming with. Should be a great event, and glad to have two good friends of mine as passengers along for this adventure. YAY!

At this point the only "bummer" is that I might not get all the work done to my new 85D that I wanted. I'm having issues here in Cleveland, Ohio finding someone who does vinyl wrap that can wrap all my chrome trim in flat matte black vinyl. Not really a big deal, but all the other "wish list" items (tint, wheels, lowering, etc) will be done in time except that -- tho there is one last hope, if this one shop gets back to me.

OCMD-2015, here we come!
