Same configuration as mine. Didn’t receive any notification that a VIN was assigned, I just happen to see the MVPA was listed under documents on my Tesla account. VIN was listed in it.

Ordered my blue/white LR AWD with tow hitch on 5/19/20. Located in Colorado. All paperwork is done on my end except for proof of insurance ( because I need a VIN) but I got no text message, no VIN and no MVPA. Anybody else in the same boat?

Exact same boat, except color (I'm Red/White) and no tow hitch. My insurance is done, as the Littleton rep just told me to upload my current vehicle's insurance card and then change it once a VIN is assigned. I too did not get a message, VIN or MVPA.

Good to know some fellow Coloradans are in the same boat. The common denominator seems to be the white interior. Hopefully we hear something soon.

I have a feeling the Tesla delivery people are getting slammed because of the text messages...

So when I got my VIN in the source code- I called a different bank to finance with... then I contacted Tesla over chat to change the bank info.... that was Monday and that change happened in like an hour.

Then the text messages hit the fan...

Yesterday I wanted to update the financing amount- went to chat... "no problem" but then nothing for over 24hrs. So chatted with them again just today and they said- "oh, we can't change the amount unless we get a letter from the bank- email it here (email address)"; OK- wish they said that in the first chat, but ok. Sent the letter in.. and nothing, mvpa and site not updated still. Which cascades into then I can't put in the final payment info- and I can't give the bank the updated mvpa- and I can't give the car insurance the info for the bank into the insurance policy...

Given the first change happened so fast I figured this one would go kinda fast too (its just an amount), but looks like a multi-day wait to change the info... which is why I'm betting the Txt messages (which I still didn't get nor email but I have a VIN and mvpa) is slamming everyone there.

Guess it really doesn't matter- I'm sure its a hurry up and wait situation, but it would be a really cool father's day present!

Just passing along what I've noticed.

Just heard from Las Vegas informing me that my profile is now complete and I should be hearing from delivery within the next two weeks. Yay!

I got that call today as well (around 4PM MST). Sooo, ordered a MSM/white/Perf/ Towhitch/FSD mid april. Heard nothing. Then ordered an additional (back up order to a different Colorado service center) MSM/white/Perf/ FSD (no tow hitch) 2 days ago and got a call from my new sales advisor today to confirm the details of the vehicle I ordered 2 days ago (cash pay, no trade in, etc). No VIN/MVPA but should be arriving in the next few weeks. Only difference between the two orders was no tow hitch and a different Tesla service center. Doesn't make sense but Im glad Im hearing from them. The guy confirmed that delivery would likely be in the next few weeks (and yes, I did get that text message yesterday from Tesla telling me 2-4 weeks to delivery).

So, let's see what comes fo this. At least I have a sale agent now! (Adrienne in Las Vegas).

Which service center in Colorado was faster? I currently am assigned to the location in Superior not the Littleton service center and have heard nada since getting the text to have all documents submitted by 6/1.

Hah, this is awesome. I did the exact same thing but to the same location as my original (Littleton). Ordered the back up 3 days ago. I have a MSM/Black PUP that I ordered in Jan. I ordered a back up with same color but Performance non-PUP with Gemini wheels.

I also got a call from Nevada today around 3pm for that backup and was told I’d have the car by end of the month if not sooner. Which is fine with me because the smaller wheels will be better for snow and won’t require separate snow tires. Absolutely no word on my original order though

You should call your delivery specialist ASAP - if you don’t have one assigned use chat and give them your order number and get one

Go to chat, ask to speak with a delivery specialist for your order and they can update anything real time - it will show up on your account with a new MVPA in seconds. Just did this myself so I know it works.

So are you saying this is not a normal occurence?

I did that- that's what I mean. On Monday it was great- but between yesterday and today- chat sent me to delivery who said they needed to see the dealer agreement letter. I was already all set so the bank gave me the letter in 5 mins- but then after emailing the letter in to my delivery specialist... nada since noon. So I'm being patient, but I can say my first reaction when I heard from the chat that I had to email someone I was like NOOOOOOO because this is my typical experience when I email someone...

Even in March when I was emailing finance stuff before the covid shutdowns hit everywhere, I would get radio silence for days- and then a reply would pop up say 5-7 days later. So... dunno. I plan to go back to chat tomorrow and say- so I emailed the letter like you asked... anything?

Wow. I originally said I’d pay cash then when I got my MVPA told my delivery specialist I’d pay $X online then bring a check for $X from my bank when I pick up my car. He updated the MVPA with that info while we were on the phone and I saw the new one a minute later, all good. Can’t believe you had to show them the letter from your bank, something is off...

I agree- because I even said to the chat... "a letter? why do you actually care since none of its real anyway until you get the bank's real signed paperwork- which is a real verification you're getting the money." and its not like a fly by night bank... its BoA.

This all happened because I started with a Tesla loan 75 days ago before everything shut down... fast forward to last Monday, since I was past 60 days I looked around and found my main bank was able to get great rate for 72 months- which I wouldn't normally do 72 months but the rate is low enough that it makes sense to borrow the money and to keep the cash in the market and make a higher rate (that's the plan anyway- even a stock that pays 2.5% dividends is a win). Anyway so when I found my VIN I did the loan application thing- I thought I would borrow a certain amount of money- but my bank officer was trying to convince me to borrow more... wasn't sure, so I kept it with my default and had Tesla change the bank, etc via chat on Monday in 1 hour. Then after thinking about it and realizing the difference in the interest cost- and that I'm sure I would want to buy a few "things" for the new car- I figured, sure, I'll go with the bigger loan- cash is king right now anyway. Contacted Tesla to adjust the financed amount (to the original amount Tesla wanted to finance me in March) and that's when the letter and everything hit the fan...

So if Tesla updates the MVPA- then I have everything else ready to fall into place including car insurance.... just need them to change the amount... So close and yet so far...

But I guess I can't complain too much, there are people in this forum that ordered in April 2019 and haven't heard boo...

From what I’ve seen, West Coast people are receiving the 2-4 weeks. East Coast / Central are getting the built in 10 days.

However, they are very similar texts.

A - “Vehicle ready for delivery in 2-4 weeks”
B - “Vehicle is built in 10 days”

AND “Delivery can happen faster depending on...”

Vehicle will be built latest 10 days but delivery can happen in “4th week”. More of a reassurance that you’ll get it by end of this Quarter.

I’m hoping everyone gets the vehicle ASAP. Already got my VIN but still waiting for delivery text.

Also just got the 2-4 week text for my White/white AWD FSD 20”; just also spoke to someone to add a tow hitch to my order. Let’s hope this means some Y’s are coming to the PNW!! Have been waiting patiently. . .
Happy to see this. Same white/white/20" config (minus FSD and hitch, which may be an issue) Delivery Advisor had told me I should expect a VIN this month, but I didn't get the text everyone else got, so was getting nervous...

So just an update- I chatted with Tesla this morning and explained that the letter is in their hands and that I can't move forward without the change to the MVPA- and they made the change right there and had me check it. So I don't know why I had the fire drill over the last 2 days, but they were great today and I'm on my way having all the paperwork finished.

Now just hoping I get a TXT or something with a guess of when the car will be ready... Since I have the VIN hoping its weeks away and not months... here is hoping.
