I was scheduled for delivery on 9/19. Drove 3 hours to Nashville (in a rental provided by Tesla), only to be told upon arrival that my car did not make it in time, which they neglected to tell me. That was a whole day wasted. Communication since then has been less than great, but yesterday I was assigned a different VIN and told that the vehicle is in Birmingham awaiting transport to Nashville, but that it could take up to 9/30 to arrive, depending on the schedules of "third-party transporters." And I jus don't understand how it can potentially take more than a week to transfer the car 3 hours up the road.
Seems there are two issues: Unreliable shipping and bad communication practices. Battery day, shmattery day, Tesla needs to get the basics figured out if they're really going to live up to their ambitions (and stock valuation).
