"Thread Starter" indicator

    I've seen other forms place the words "Thread Starter" under a persons name (in the leftmost pane), if the person starting a thread posts within the same thread. This can be quite useful when a thread starter chimes back in to answer questions or provide additional clarity.

    Sometimes the thread starter isn't the thread starter. For example the Mods can move posts to a new thread attributed to the first poster that they move.

    I think that kind of thing would only be relevant to a particular type of thread. Would be easy enough to code, but not sure it's worth the overhead.

    I'd agree. Most of the time the threads here are about news and discussions on TM and not personal issues. In those cases, who started the thread tends to be irrelevant.
