Time of delivery

I'm in the same boat. Ordered on April, 24th, literally 30 minutes after the announcement. No VIN yet, nothing in production.
The only thing I can think of that would delay everything is maybe the retooling of the production line. I know, they already have plenty of new drive trains made.
I really hope my May delivery estimate holds up, since I will be out of town beginning of June for about 6 weeks, which would then push the delivery to Q3.
 
Interesting. They my rep said there was no price difference. Did they make you pay the $250 difference in cash, right there? ;)
I wasn’t told anything about a price increase when he added it, he said that it had been part of the white interior package prior to removal so it should not be extra. I mean I don’t care if it is I want it regardless. But I don’t see why it should be extra. Without communication on anything it’s just a guessing game. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if the order got canceled or didn’t even go thru.

Yeah another day, more bad news: no movement. Growing weary of this. They could at least have something up about when they intend to make progress, that would be an improvement.

May delivery not looking like it's going to happen, even though order page still says May for new orders.
 
Didn't' order and X but did order a new S and in the same boat as everyone here.

On April 30th I was called by my nearest Sales Center and was told I had to cancel my original order and complete another new order because the original order was applied to an inventory car which they new I didn't want. \i/
May 9th and still nothing has changed on my order page and I am clueless as to what / when is happening.

As for final delivery, I was at my Service Center which is also a delivery location in Decatur GA and I spoke with a delivery specialist and the good news is that all new Model S & X's are now trucked in and not sent by train which has them delivered in 3-5 days. This is a HUGE difference from my previous 2 S' and X that seemed to take weeeeeeks to arrive by train to Atlanta GA.

Same here, but it's the same production line and the same parts, the forum split between S/X makes no sense here.

As for final delivery, I was at my Service Center which is also a delivery location in Decatur GA and I spoke with a deliver specialist and the good news is that all new Model S & X's are now trucked in and not sent by train which has them delivered in 3-5 days. That would be a huge improvement if true, but my delivery advisor thought the transport time was still 2 weeks. Note that I think they don't know anything - they just read from whatever their screen says.
 
the VIN for my X turned back to a reservation number last night. ordered April 9th, VIN assigned one week later. now gone? dunno. my delivery agent changed too after he told me i would get the refresh. delivery estimate was pushed from May 3rd to May 10-15 per my old agent. status has been in production since the Friday after they announced the refresh. oh well guess i wait

Maybe it had to be reset to get the new model with the updated electric motor? I am speculating of course. So guess you are now in the same boat with the rest of us. I have a feeling when the VINs get issues, they will all come in a big batch. So hopefully we will all get them at roughly the same time, when they do get issued.

So you ordered before the announcement and are still being told you are getting the refreshed X? I had two orders for a bit because I didn't believe they would still make old Xs. I then got a VIN and they said it was an old X. I said I wanted to keep the order just in case but they said it was absolutely an old one and cancelled it. I think they forced me into paying $500 more. It's not a huge difference but just the principle really.

who knows? my old delivery agent didn't sound very knowledgeable but i do have it in an email from him that my X will be refreshed. the longer i wait the more hopeful i am. i really don't want to refuse delivery and make another order so $500 extra for piece of mind isn't so bad i suppose.

The referral link just came back up on my order page after being gone for days. Maybe this is a start of something

Interesting that it appeared then disappeared and re-appeared. Do you have any other equipment?

Placed my order for stock XLR on 30 April along with a request for HWC install. Still no VIN, still processing my paperwork but the local delivery rep has called twice. HWC is being installed today and my referral link just appeared this morning. After watching the tracking delivery spreadsheet my gut tells me the car won’t be delivered this month so the referral link (in my case) has to be a result of the HWC. I am of course still participating in ‘wishful thinking’ of ... any day now ...

No, I just ordered the Performance X, nothing else with it.

The Store Manager said that old order will be the old version of Model X only!. He has requested me to place another/new order and I placed a new order on April 27th. The old order has been canceled after VIN assigned!

As of today(May 10) VIN is not assigned to the New order $500 more I paid. don't know when will VIN will be assigned. Store Sales Manager said that I will get my vehicle delivered the end of May or June 1st week. Anyone having VIN assigned and updates?
