the car is a damn car and it rolls on normal tires that you can buy at tirerack (cheapest) or any tire store in the country provided you buy ones that are rated for the weight of the car. Its not like the car rolls on unicorn fur and is powered by unicorn tears. Holy **** these questions come up so damn often its ridiculous.
Just go to a tire store you're comfortable with and you'll be fine, costco does work on teslas but some have weird rules about not doing certain things because its not a factory option for the car. Like they wont put 20's on a model S because the only options are 21 or 19
Buying tires from Costco is just like anywhere else. From my experience it depends on what they have in stock, not so much if the tire is good or not. Any tire place can sell you a good or bad tire. Costco has had good prices for me in the past but I always shop around.
I bought tires for my aftermarket wheels at the Springfield Costco. They wouldn't put the wheels on the car as they didn't have the pads to go under the jack points so I put them on myself in my driveway. I had a single jack pad but not four of them. I bought an inexpensive set of four after that.
