To front plate or not to front plate; that is the poll

Yep. It's the law in California as well. So far, I haven't seen any owners with a front driver's license. I might go ahead and get it mounted. I went ahead and saw this video on YouTube:

It actually works very well. I got the hardware and J-bolts at Home Depot and tried it. My license plates didn't come yet but I tested it with the license plate holder that Tesla gave me at delivery. And it is sturdy and looks like it would work. The only thing is I couldn't find j-bolts short enough so I'll have to just cut the bolt down to the size I need. I haven't done that yet but it should be very simple to do.

I don't know about the cooling/air flow issue but as this gentleman mentioned on the video, Tesla told him it shouldn't be an issue.

...haven't mounted one in CA in about 10 years...so far, no tickets...at least for the front plate issue...

I was going to, and I fit into that camp, but wanted to see how many people live in states where it is a primary offense (moving violation) or secondary (non-moving; while parked).
