To Wrap or not wrap your Model X

My front bumper wrap has to be replaced do to a flaw in the material. I may let him talk me into the doors too.

Estimate for my doors was $160/each for SunTek

Check at the XPel site..they also have a list of certified installers by your zip code and then call them. Before I decided on mine I talked to three and two of them had never touched an X though they said they had wrapped S. I went with the guy who had done multiple Xs and he had pictures to show and couple of Xs in the shop. When I went to pick up mine after he was done, he had more Xs in his shop than the SC.

So if you add up all those individual Xpel items, which I assume is the total exterior and 4 seats backs, the total is $5429.45.

I was recently quoted: Full Wrap Model X $6500 plus $225 per Seat Back in Xpel Ultimate so $900 for 4

Grand Total of $7400 total exterior and 4 seats

Good Price or Not so much??? Me thinks too much

Derek Johnson of Atlanta Protective Films in the Atlanta area will do full front (front bumper cover, full hood, full front fenders, mirrors, A pillars and door handles) for $1400. He will do full MX for $4000. Seat backs are $800. Derek is a high quality film installer who has 10 years of experience. He has done the most Tesla's in Atlanta. He did our S (full) and will be done with our MX (full) tomorrow. He will use either Suntek or Xpel Ultimate.

@essmd - several installers offer bundles that are cheaper than individual pieces. I think the average price depending upon the market for full front, all doors, rear bumper and spoiler, and seat backs is between 3500-4500. Anything more than that..shop around and you will likely save thousands.

My XPEL installer put door guard strips on the front doors. I haven't done anything to the FWD.

Just picked up my X from Rock Guard Film in Allentown. EJ pointed out where on the lower door edges where there was rock damage but it is now all covered by XPEL. Not sure it shows in the photos but in the bright sun the Sig red paint really pops now and is even more consistent than before the XPEL and CQuartz.

Best Sig Red I have seen yet. Usually to dark for me but in the bright sunlight it looks very nice.

Thanks. I was worried that the wrap might throw the doors out of alignment but everything looked ok. Tuesday the Tesla Service is coming to pickup my car to figure out why the charge port door keeps randomly opening. I have to make sure they don't wash the car. Can't be washed for a week now until the ceramic coating cures.

I had the same problem with the charge port door. They had to replace it.

Picked up ours from Derek Johnson of Atlanta Protective Films yesterday. Pineapple received a full Xpel Ultimate exterior wrap, seat backs done with Suntek, door sills done with Xpel matte. Josh of Executive Tint at the same location did the 2 front windows legal limit and also did a 48" piece of ClearPlex on the windshield.

I'll be applying OptiCoat Pro Plus to the film/wheels and OptiLeather for the seats tomorrow.

I've spoken to Chicago Auto Pros and am planning to have them wrap my X at the Glenview location (i don't take delivery for a few more weeks).

Someone (S forum maybe?) posted a positive experience with them.

My X is still reportedly on a train ao I haven't done it yet
I recall the quote being right around 6K for a full wrap with Xpel. I think that included seat backs but am not sure. What are you thinking of having done?

Agreed, and not a fan of driving there without the film but there is a several thousand $ difference.
