Towing trailer emergency

Away from home. Can’t tow travel trailer.

Took off trailer to Supercharge. After reconnecting trailer, all trailer lights stopped working. Also had low brake fluid errors, and brake pedal fully depressed much more than usual. Had red trailer icon, then changed to yellow.

Cleaned all trailer connectors, same results. Towed trailer with no lights or brakes carefully to friend’s house in daylight.

Testing today showed trailer icon alway on regardless if trailer connected. Icon color can change from blue to yellow with Trailer Mode switch. No red icon. No more brake errors.

Tesla connections look very clean.
Tested Tesla trailer plug. No voltages at any pair of terminals, including + and - . Had car on, all lights, flashers.

Checked fuse #105 in frunk with ohm meter. Removed and visually inspected. AOK. Ohm test all fuses in frunk fuse box, all ok.

Have done 4 finger/brake reset, Power Off, and Reset Wheet Configuration.

Nothing now is able to turn off yellow towing icon. (Except turning on towing becomes blue). No hitch in receiver.

Any suggestions?

I have noticed my trailer icon sometimes remains lighted after disconnecting my trailer.
When the trailer mode switch does not work, I take a brief drive without the trailer.
This sometimes resets and turns off the trailer mode light...

did you check fuses on the trailer side?

more importantly, did you verify you have brake fluid?

Did that persist after you hitched up and towed your trailer to your friends house?

Did you check your brake fluid?

I second @ngng suggestion to check the trailer fuses. Seems unlikely that is the problem, but worth checking.

@doghousePVD what was the result of your testing on this issue? Did you ever figure out the cause?

Yeah, November 2021 is a long way back but inquiring minds want to know.
