This morning I was surprised to see my 85D in production after only 5 days since being confirmed:

VIN: 091455

Ordered: 5/17
Confirmed: 5/25
Production: 5/30
Delivery estimate: "June". Order page before confirmation said "Late June".
Delivery location: Denver, CO
Configuration: 85D, deep blue, pana, standard 19s, next-gen tan seats, piano black, white alcantara, auto-pilot, premium interior, ultra sound, sub-zero, rear-facing seats

Quick update. Production finished in just two days on 6/1. "In transit" lasted a week so arrived at the Denver service center on 6/8 and the status transitioned to "being prepared for pick-up or delivery". The delivery specialist called me on Tuesday 6/9 and we booked a delivery appointment for 6/13.

That seems like a super fast delivery from 5/25 confirmed to delivery outside Fremont on 6/13. Just 19 days! I'm not complaining!

The one downside is that I haven't got my charging at home solution completed. I'm supposed to get a quote today from the local Tesla recommended electrician. In the mean time I'll have to charge in the barn where I luckily have a NEMA 14-50. I just hope the chickens don't poop all over my new car.

If you do end up seeing concerns by the chickens, use a 120v until you get the install done or you "need" a quicker charge. I have been using 120v for the past month while we get work done and the electrician won't be out here for another week or two to do that part. It's nowhere near as fast, but still, an overnight charge gets me 40 or so miles of rated range.

For those anxiously awaiting their S-85D's here is an update for a Georgia deliver!!

That is amazing. Good for you! Not having your charging station is a high class problem. When we first bought our Leaf, they didn't even have in-home charging ports yet. As Cyclone said, life could be worse having to charge off of 120v.

As an aside, for all you South Floridians out there... about how long did the long, slow, train from Fremont take to get your cars delivered down here?

Many thanks.

PhinFL, I'd recommend going here (Model S Order Delivery - Google Sheets). You can sort/filter to give you a better estimate of shipping times to South Florida. I used it to get avg prod times in May (by model, etc.) and also average time from production completion to delivery for my area.

Thank you Esmcmaha! I added my info to it but never thought to check on transit times.
