It'll have one cable you can use for type 2 - eg tesco fast chargers. and one granny cable for connecting to the mains. This comes only with a 13-pin plug but its detachable and you can buy extra specialist connectors eg for hooking up to a caravan park connection, or a commando socket. 13-pin should be enough for most people

ignore chademo - thats not supported on tesla or most cars anymore. Tesla is type 2 + CCS. type 2 is your slower charger for overnight at home or at some car parks. CCS is the faster charger (50kw+ depending on the charger). this is what you'd be looking for if you're on a road trip and need to get a lot of charge in 20-30 mins
Thanks for the reply - so will it be able to charge via 3 pin plug when i get it delivered or do i need to buy an adapter in readiness? and so if it comes with Type 2 thats great, but do you need something else for CCS or are they tethered chargers? Sorry for the silly questions!

These are not silly questions thats what forums like this are for and small niggles turn into anxieties if not addressed. Good news is don't worry about anything, the car comes with adapter to use all public charging outlets and if you are stuck a 3 pin plug. In fact many public chargers have a cable attached so you just plug it into the car and don't need anything. The thing you need to know about 3 pin plug is that speed of charging is very slow compared to public chargers (3KW/hour compared to perhaps 50KW or above for the newer public chargers

yeah I'm not entirely sure the status of the tail lights. Tesla refer to the dual reverse light variant as the 'global' variant. The Classic tail lights as original. I think there are absolutely no rules or formule you can use to determine what your new cars will have. I think it's a good mind set to steer away from calling it OLD or NEW, as it sort of lays a negative perception. Classic or Global seems far better! Having seen both, and spoken to people, some actually prefer the classic look. Due to how awesome the vehicle is, it's hard to get too knarked. I myself have severe OCD so like perfect symmetry, so obviously the global array suits my itch, but, all my previous cars have had the classic layout with single reverse / fog. I can see how it'd niggle though.

Just to say that as I only drive around 100-120 miles per week I just use the supplied 13Amp 3-pin plug granny charger to charge overnight once a week. this gets me from ~50% to 100% (RWD LFP) in about 14 hours. If you will drive more miles than this then this method may not work for you, but just so you are aware. The electricity cost this way works out at about 7p per mile for me which is still about a third of the cost of my previous diesel car.

My better half will also be driving the 3 so I need to set her up with the app. Does she use the same log in details as me or if she sets up an account in her name how do I giver her access to the car?
Not an owner yet but from what I know, she should download the Tesla App on her phone, log in to the Tesla account with your credentials, then she can add the phone key by following the steps on the manual (I guess similar to when you set yours up at the start):

Another owner might have a better way to do it but think that about covers it.

I confirmed my car is definitely at the NEC after some inital confusion due to a late match. Picking it up tomorrow, it seems from recent updates in this forum that its 50/50 on the rear lights version but thats not a biggie for me, I'm just hoping for undamaged paint and no panel gaps 🤞 I'm not expecting to get much sleep tonight, not even trying to pretend to play it cool, I'm just stupidly excited.

So mine was delivered on Monday and was filthy, covered in dust/sand, weird blotch on the bonnet and still some 2D barcode sticker thing on the windscreen. Yesterday evening after the rain I gave it a proper wash (snowfoam, jetwash, gentle mitt with 2-buckets, microfibre pat dry) and it looks amazing, couldn't find a single defect and almost no swirl marks. I guess I got lucky and they just didn't bother to wash it, I hate to imagine the state of the paint if someone in a hurry had rubbed in all that sand... 😲

Wow! Looks great. Mines the same colour (picking up tomorrow), if I can get it to look anything like this I'll be chuffed to bits.

Where's the best way to confirm where your delivery vehicle is? Text, webchat or call opt 4?

Hi all, been reading eagerly since ordering my M3 via Zen at the start of the month with an estimated November delivery. Called Zen today after seeing the May/June updates for a lot of you and was advised they'll ask Tesla and come back to me. Just had a call from Tesla assigning me to a car TOMORROW from Trafford Centre. Unexpected surprise! First time Tesla/EV, will report back with pics!
