Unable to Transfer M3 Ownership?!

It cannot be transferred off the account that was used to reserve, but you should have asked your delivery specialist to title and register in the name you want used from the beginning. In other words, my first reservation went to my sister. I had it titled and registered in her name, using her address. But it was on my Tesla account. After she took delivery, we followed what I listed in Post #7, above, to get it moved to her Tesla account. (She set up the account in advance.)

So beforehand, she uploaded her drivers license, her proof of insurance, her credit card info (for supercharging). She was the alternate contact on my account, also. I asked the delivery specialist to register/title in her name.

If you don't have it titled in the right name to begin with, it's iffy who can take the federal tax credit.

No, to the best of my knowledge, you can't. But it doesn't take long to get it transferred after. Just a few days.

I am a week out and my car has not be transferred yet. I do have phone access somehow via my account. It likely takes 2 weeks...

This could be a problem, as I made the reservation, but it will be my wife's car and phone.

On the other hand, Telsa has a year to fix this.

That's a total non-issue. I made the reservation and Tesla had no problem titling the car in my wife's name. They offered to have it in her own Tesla account, but we decided to keep in my account to make sharing easier.
