How would I know? Is it something I would hear while driving? Perhaps I should have them check out the bushings in the spring when I get my brakes lubed/cleaned.
I'm taking my car in for this issue next week. It seems to be only on the driver's side. Will they replace both? I'm at 47k, so warranty repair but would rather have both done....

Visual inspection. They pretty much all go around 30k(if you dont have aftermarket suspension i would think Tesla would do under warranty if mileage low enough)

I'll have to dig around to see what it looks like. If you can point me toward some pictures it would be appreciated. I'm out of warranty so that's not awesome.

It seems like you will be bracing it almost every 2-3 years after the first replacement.
On my model S, I needed it replaced at about 100k miles....now, I'm getting it replaced almost every 1-2 years....thank goodness that ev garage warrantied the repair, so it was free.....that car is like 135k miles now.
Hopefully, the latest revision “J”, will last longer. The fact that they are already on “J” is quite surprising, but maybe it’s worked out now. Time will tell.
Just had my car repaired today. They did upper control arms and lateral links on both sides. Car is nice and tight again, and quiet! Only hitch was that I noticed driving home that the steering wheel was slightly off-center when going straight. Took it back and they fixed it.
