Using a 1TB SanDisk as TeslaCam

I bought and used a new SanDisk SSD, 1 TB as TeslaCam for my model X, year 2020. It worked for about 9 months then it stopped working. It no longer shows the camera icon on the display. I reformatted it and the camera icon showed for a moment then disappeared. I plugged that SSD on my laptop and am able to copy file over, read it, delete it. i.e. that SSD functions normally. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue. Appreciate any advice. Many thanks in advance.
