I called a month ago and was discouraged from changing my configuration. FWIW

January 2021 pre-refresh 7 seats order here. Did get offer back in October to change to 6 seats but turned it down. Still glad I did as 7 is best for our needs.

Thanks for starting this thread. Apr 2021 order from NY, MSM with cream interior. Never offered 6 seater, not that I would switch.
Just like others current date is July.

May 2021 order here. From the 5 seater photos, really not liking the 60/40 split middle row bench seat. Wish they would make it 40/20/40 like Model Y. Still sticking with 7 seater. Have a 2018 MX 6 seater now and know we would prefer 7.

Disagree. Two butt cracks in Y vs one in the X seems very uncomfortable.

May order as well. If my husband would have gotten the call to change to a 6 seater he would have jumped on it. It would work for us but I still really want the 7. We ordered the X for cargo space and to cart around grandkids when they visit. Also have two dogs we take places and the bench is far better protected with a hammock cover. My current leased vehicle needs to be returned June 22. Really hoping the have the X by then but we can live with one car in the summer months. The number of 5-seater vins appearing this week makes me hopeful.

Yeah but I am saying not a lot of 7 seaters reservations. Maybe thats why Tesla started on 5 seaters first. Not enough order to start productions on 7 seaters I guess.

I have people calling to change to 6 seats proactively. Not sure if it makes any difference now.

I would imagine a lot of 7 seater took the 6 seater deal to get quicker delivery.

I’m in the same boat as most here to get most storage capacity while being able to seat 7.
