Warning, horrible tesla certified bodyshop in south bay

I see a lot of tesla being shipped to Chilton in Santa Clara for bodywork. Guys, please do not take your car there. They are absolutely horrible. They are so bad that my insurance is willing to pay another shop to have the same work redone again!!! (Over $4k). If they can do this to a non tesla, think the damage they can do to your car.

Let me get back in my car, oh wait I can’t because they painted over the door handle sensor and the keyless entry no longer works!!!!

Yup I feel bad for those guys. Actually one tesla guy heard me complaint but didn’t seem to care, his problem or maybe tesla gets special treatment

I am going to fix my keyless entry Sunday, let me see if they unplugged something or painted over something. Gosh Macco could have done a better job.

I want to correct myself, they did not paint over the door sensor. They simply didn’t plug in the handle sensor correctly when they removed the handle. That little trip Caused $269.88 of damage plus one day of driving around.

More fun stuff, they did more damage than what I took the car in for

Brooks motor cars in Fremont is the best you can have in the bay area, I personally spoke to the manager and he knows Tesla's and treats each of them like he owns them. He had help me get through my issues with Tesla........I had experience with Chilton's and would never go back. Finest Tesla repair facilities in California Depending on where you are, the service center may not have a contract with them, but if you work with the Fremont service center, you will be directed to Brooks.

The car is not a Tesla, but I do own one. If they can't fix a car that is worth $15K, I am not going to trust them with a car worth $80K

I took the key and moved on. I filed my complaint with the state and the insurance company. The insurance company will pay for the work to be re-done at another shop. Just a waste of time and a hassle, they had the car for 30+ days too.

If you still want to take your Tesla there, good luck o_O

Fix auto Tustin is another horrible body shop.
They damaged and scratched spots where didn’t have any issues. Also, they improperly assembled panels and trims which caused a lot of noises. I am still struggling with them for over 3 months. Do not trust the reviews and Avoid them at all costs.
