Weird charging port colors

Hi, anyone happen to know what’s going on herewith the orange part? Would it be because I just bought it so I don’t have it on my Tesla acc yet so I can’t supercharge while the 72hrs processing time? It goes to pulsing green normally while charging

That’s most likely just malfunctioning / burnt out LEDs. It’s not trying to communicate anything to you. If everything is charging fine, I’d not worry about it.

It would be intersting to enable the rainbow charging port easter egg just to see if it clears your port after it runs or you can see where certain colors are not being uniformly displayed.

While car is locked and charging, press button on charge handle 10 times in quick succession. Works on Model S and X.
