According to my wife’s calendar on our kitchen sill, today is actually “Name Your Car Day” for the rest of the world (aka “everyday” for Tesla owners :p)

Wife's Midnight Silver Metallic 3P- is "La Belle Dame Sans Essence". She wanted a car without a gas tank (essence is French for gasoline), also a play on Keats' poem "La Belle Dame Sans Merci."

The Deep Blue Metallic S100D I share with our daughter's family is "The Electric Chariot". Echoes of old Tom Swift mysteries that used "electric" to connote advanced technology.

Tom Swift and His Electric Runabout - Wikipedia "
"Tom Swift invents a groundbreaking, powerful new rechargeable battery with half the recharge time (allowing Tom to leave other battery-powered race cars far behind while at the track).

"More importantly, Tom has taken electric vehicles to a whole new level with his convertible sports car, both with the inclusion of his revolutionary battery, but in other wonderful design features as well. His custom vehicle was designed from the ground up for performance and speed, with a top rate of 100 mph and a range of 400 miles (on a single charge)."
