    Supercharger - San Luis Obispo, CA (LIVE 5 May 2018, expanded May 2020, 14 V2 + 4 V3 stalls)

I may be going this way next week, can someone who has been there recently confirm that the Madonna Inn is open? How about the other restaurants across the street? Many thanks!

Selecting Drive and Reverse Requires Two Pushes

I find that if I hold the gear shifter at the first stop for maybe a half second, then go to the second stop it works every time. If I just blow through the first stop, then I have to do it twice. If it goes into neutral you are waiting too long. Takes a little practice to get it just right...

    Supercharger - Gustine, CA (12 V2 stalls)

Wow, guess I got lucky on the 27th. I was number 3 to charge. Speed was good, I added 100 miles in under 20 minutes.

Pics | Lowered with Aero rims

Thanks! I know people like to think about how much lower, but to me the real figure of merit is the distance from the ground to the bottom of the car. I actually didn’t measure the “drop”, I measured the ground clearance. And I’m right at 110 mm, the MPP recommended height. I was really...

Recommended Alignment Shop in Bay Area for Modified P3D?

I had my MPP coilovers and camber/toe arms installed by Griffin Motorwerk in Berkeley. They also did the alignment in-house. I’ve got about 1k miles on mine and I really like them. Only issue is they aren’t south as you would prefer.

Any way to listen to Dodger games?

Good luck to you guys, at least the KNBR example shows that streaming games is not a blanket MLB prohibition. It may be that each club can decide whether to allow it or not. I have to admit that having the game on the radio is something I really enjoy.
  14. B

Any way to listen to Dodger games?

You’re very welcome, happy to help. Here’s what I did: 1. I started by saying “Play KNBR”. That brought up the search dialog. 2. I wanted a radio station, so I tapped the STATIONS tab. The one I wanted was KNBR 680, so I tapped that. That’s when the station started playing, and they were...

Any way to listen to Dodger games?

Because of threads like this one, I never tried listening to Giants games in my Model 3 over KNBR, the Giants AM station here in the SF Bay area. Then about 3 weeks ago, I was stuck in traffic and decided to tune into KNBR on a whim. And lo and behold, there was the game, sounding better than...

Clean low cost hydrogen boron fusion and impact on environment

I just read the latest LPP update with results of the first shots using beryllium electrodes. The big news is, they say they have achieved their goal of low impurities. However this has not resulted in higher fusion yield. They are significantly below the yield when using the tungsten...

Navigate On Autopilot: automatic lane change results

Great idea, but isn’t the amount of traffic going to influence the results heavily? That has been my experience—as the amount of traffic increases so does the number of mistakes. Can you factor that in somehow?

    Squeaky Drivers seat... thoughts?

Wow, my driver seat sounds just like that! But mine seems to be coming from the left side. I’m going to take a closer look at it now, thanks for posting. As for a better lube, I would think that something with more viscosity would last longer. The problem then is getting it in the right spot.

    MPP Comfort Coilover reviews?

I am on the stock suspension and I do like it. I have had a couple of sport suspensions in the past that I thought were too stiff, but the Model 3 feels like a good balance to me. I have over 7000 miles on the car, including 3 road trips to SoCal. I have the 18” wheels right now, but I plan...

Hmm, I don’t recall doing that, after all your measurement is your measurement. I haven’t measured mine, though I should be doing it soon — just got an email that my comfort coilovers are on the way!

Question for M3 white interior owners

Tesla Model 3 the way I want - Signature Wheel + MPP Comfort Coilover

Gator Rican I would be careful about assuming that wider stickier tires aren’t going to affect the range much. Others have reported reductions of up to 30% with more aggressive wheels and tires.

    MPP Comfort Coilover reviews?

Mountain Pass says stock ride height is 155mm front /150mm rear. So roughly lowering it by 30mm or 1.2”. If the camber adjustment is going to be a problem, then it is going to be a problem on both front and rear. In that case I would want adjustable camber arms for both, right?
  37. B

    MPP Comfort Coilover reviews?

Thanks for the info. If my goals for the comfort coilovers are to keep/improve comfort while lowering the ride height to 115mm - 120mm, then do you think I would need any of the control arms? I will never track the car.

Tesla Model 3 the way I want - Signature Wheel + MPP Comfort Coilover

If you go to the MPP website page that describes the comfort coilovers (MPP Model 3 Comfort Coilovers AWD/Performance PRE-ORDER ) you will find the information that you seek. They talk about it in terms of ground clearance in mm. Stock is 155mm front and 150mm rear. They recommend 110mm front...

First impression of driving a Model 3

I find it interesting so many comments about screen glare not being a problem. I have over 6000 miles on my Model 3 and I can tell you, screen glare is definitely a problem. For me at least. Try driving west when the sun is rising behind you, or east with the sun going down. The screen washes...

Can’t get car washed in Long Beach?

I went to two car washes today in Long Beach and they both told me they couldn’t wash Teslas (I have a Model 3). Limited Expectations of Realistic Supercharger Network Expansion

It is interesting how everyone is so different. I really like a cadence of 100 - 125 miles and then charge for 20 to 25 minutes. Walk a bit, go to the bathroom, stretch, grab a quick bite, and repeat. I find a full meal on a roadtrip puts me to sleep...

Just me, or do voice controls not work 50% of the time?

Wow, I wonder what the difference is? Even though there are only 3 main voice commands — call, play, and drive (navigate) — I find it to be the most useful feature that I wasn’t expecting. I get better than 90% recognition and my wife is totally jealous compared to her 2016 BMW 4 series. You...
