(EDITED: I DIDNT RSVP IN TIME AND WONT BE GOING. BOOOOO) A question to people who have attended previous Tesla launches. I got an invite to the Model X launch. I am actually contemplating flying from Toronto (with free air miles) and returning early the following morning. I wouldn't even get a hotel room. Before I commit, what can I expect at the launch? 1) Is it a party or a formal media event? 2) How late does it go? 3) Is there food, drinks and entertainment? 4) How much interaction will we have with the Model X ? (touch it, sit inside, test drive?) 5) Are there any limitations on camera equipment guests can bring? 6) Is it at the factory? Can we take a tour? Any insight related to, or beyond my questions is welcome. Chris
There hasn't been one quite like this; the first Model S deliveries were primarily staff. But based on other Tesla parties: 1. Both, but more party. 2. Still going when I leave at about 11pm. 3. Yes. 4. Since it's a new venue, this is a bit unknown. 5. No. 6. This one is not at the main factory, it's at a new building. So no.
