What would be an accurate description of Model S drivers?

As a fellow Michigander unfortunately I get noticed too much on my black S.

Depending on where I am, I get lots of interest and questions about my Model S. And to be honest, I enjoy telling people about Tesla and dispelling myths and misinformation.

My wife, on the other hand, is sort of shy and really hates the attention. She doesn't like to drive my car 'cause she knows she's going to get questions. :)

Oh. And to answer the OP's question:

Intelligent, early adopter types. Well off, with above average status and income. A lot of Tesla owners I know (including myself) work in a technology related field.

I believe wholeheartedly in doing what I can to reduce emissions, but would own a Tesla regardless of that issue. To me, Tesla is the best available reflection of the future of transportation.

We like to live in the Danger Zone (just replace the word woman with Car Company)
