That was interesting. There was less steel there than I expected. Although I believe that both of the bumper covers are plastic, rather than aluminum, but still not steel of course.

True the video it title steel or not. That's a more accurate description.

My 3 also has alcantara headliner... So I guess you never know what yours will be

Unfortunatly, the steel body parts are the ones the most exposed to corrosive elements (salty snow splashing on them). Those areas are often problematic on other cars.

Hoping they're using good, thick paint and adequate steel.

The inner and outer actual rear wheel wells are aluminum. The quarter panel body structure outside that is steel. Pictures in the above thread link.
