Got my model 3 in August 2018. This started peeling this week. I rarely wipe it down and only use water. Anyone know why? Does anyone have any experience with what the SC says and does about it?
That's what it looks like to me, some protective layer to keep the white dash clean and not marred before delivery. Not unlike the protective covers some people found over their screens that didn't get removed. Have to say I have never seen that white dash problem before on here and the Black and White interior option has been around since before I picked up my car in 9/2018 I think.
Mine looks more like what's underneath the layer that is peeling off. I've since wrapped my dash, because I was getting a reflection of the white dash piece on my side/wing mirror....
I have the white dash. It looks like what you have underneath the material that is peeling off. My guess is that what is peeling off is a protective layer that should have been removed on the assembly line but was not.
