Why Did Charging Start in This Situation?

I have charging scheduled to start at 3 AM (limit set to 85%).

I didn't go anywhere for the last three days, and so the car hasn't done any charging for two nights. I left it plugged in. This morning I went on a 60 mile drive.

When I got home, I parked in the garage, opened the charge port and plugged in.

The car started charging immediately, even though I was set for scheduled charging. I checked that it was still set for scheduled charging. It wasn't until I unplugged and replugged that it displayed "Charging will start at 3 AM."

Why did it start charging?

More than likely the car was pulling power from the charger to power the HVAC etc, and not actually charging. We know it wasnt charging the battery because the OPs message on screen was "charging starts at XXX time".

I see this all the time with scheduled charging and am surprised OP has never noticed the car starts pulling shore power when plugged in for HVAC and such until you actually get out of it and it locks the doors.
