You mean via cellular or XM receiver?XM works fine on my 75D. Listen PGA golf radio every day.
IIRC Tesla disables the codecs for both audio and video in their browser. What really drives me nuts is that Tesla can solve all of this by just introducing their own Sirius app that runs over the car's LTEDoes the car web browser audio feed into the sound system? Could try streaming from the Sirius web site.

According to tesla all model S' after mid 2018 should have it. I missed the mark by like 3 months which is what really pisses me off. Some cars have it built in. I'm not sure if it's older or UHFS but mine has it.
My Tesla radio has it but in just like my ICE cars hadYou mean via cellular or XM receiver?
Did you specifically ask for it when you ordered your car? I never even saw the option otherwise I would have myself. My Tesla radio has it but in just like my ICE cars had
I think it's now standard but I could be wrong. On my 2016 they had a premium sound package that included XM.Did you specifically ask for it when you ordered your car? I never even saw the option otherwise I would have myself.

Take a look at this thread (Cleanest solution for USB cables from cigarette lighter jack to the front?) where I explain how I got XM working through my iPhone on my Model 3. You can use the phone to make calls and also listen (via bluetooth) to XM.
This thread reminds me of the old "How do I listen to my mp3s on an iphone?", where you had to jump thru a hogshead of real fire just to get them on the phone and maybe they'll work. It was the reason I returned that iphone and never went back.
The whole point of satellite radio is to be able to get reception (pretty much) anywhere, not just where cell coverage is good. Further, if you spend a lot of time on the road listening through your phone can end up costing a lot more than $15/month (in data fees.to use your title... why is having a personal phone such an impossibility?
On an older car (04 model year) that had no tape deck and no aux in (not common on 04 model year non-luxury cars), I used two different FM transmitters for years. They're definitely not great but not terrible for talk. If that's all you care about, that's your best best and real cheap.Onyx Plus with FM. I've heard FM transmission is HORRIBLE for not only music but even for talk.
...
I know I can stream via my iphone's sirius app but to me that is unacceptable because my phone is a work phone and I can't use that much data for personal use. Also, its ridiculous that I have to pay essentially twice for Sirius because my $80,000 car can't support this basic need in 2019.
Hey all,
I'm new to this site and have owned my Tesla MS for about a year.
So my question is, why is it SO HARD to set up Sirius if it didnt come with your car? Things I have tried/Researched:
Onyx Plus with FM. I've heard FM transmission is HORRIBLE for not only music but even for talk.
AUX to USB. Doesn't work.
AUX to Bluetooth. Apparently BT on Tesla ONLY accepts phones and not a generic BT transmitter.
I've called Tesla and they said they don't recommend 3rd party solutions and won't upgrade me to the built in solution.
I've called best buy and they pretty much said the same.
I even asked Elon Musk on Twitter. Not that I was expecting a response mind you.

I don't think I have left anything out of this rant but I might have. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
