The ability to adjust power distribution between front and rear motors is what really makes the model 3 performance special ..would be disappointing if you can’t do the same for the new model s

Agree, but having the sliders to change a few things on the fly would be nice.Maybe Plaid does not have track mode because Plaid is track mode ...
That sure. To fine tune. And to chill in normal use.Agree, but having the sliders to change a few things on the fly would be nice.
So far all I’ve seen is Drag Strip Mode. I asked an engineer at the Plaid event and he said they’re working on Track Mode. In the meantime, I’m not sure if Drag Strip Mode does torque vectoring. Now that Plaid’s are being delivered, does anyone know if it contains any kind of track mode?
I think there was a tweet that said it's coming. maybe my end of year or so.Now that Plaid’s are being delivered, does anyone know if it contains any kind of track mode?
You could copy and paste that response into any thread here and it would not be out of place.I think there was a tweet that said it's coming. maybe my end of year or so.
That's a good point. Now I'm curious to know Randay's view having a track mode option. With torque vectoring, that would be an additional adjustment point that may come in handy. I wonder if Tesla is using torque vectoring to assist on keeping the car straight on the 1/4 track. That would be similar to a gyro on an RC car. Well, shoot, then there's the additional option they could add called Drift mode. This could aid with steering stabilization.Lol, thanks for the info. You would think that with Pikes Peak being challenge by Randy in a Plaid Model S that there would be kind of software tweeks. Pretty sure he wouldn’t want too much of the computer taking over.
