We'll see if this gets moderated off Teslamotors.com. I'd like a response if nothing more than to make a point.

It’s sad that Siry quit posting over at the teslamotorsclub.com. I’ve noticed a few regulars there that had constructive criticism and insight into this Company and its products have not been posting.
I realize there are people out there that tend to criticize unnecessarily, but let’s face it, so goes this business in this day and age. Besides, Martin Eberhard and his supporters are entitled to their opinions. My point is, someone from Tesla should return to posting there…you’ll make a sale or two…or more.

Someone help me out on this; I know I read that Daryl is changing positions at Tesla to move away from Communications, but I can't find the link.

When a new communications guy or gal is appointed, I would think that would be the opportunity for Tesla to resume postings on TMC.

Who cares whether it's Siry or someone else. It was a childish move to "leave" in the first place. The people here give valuable input to Tesla and I suspect they read these postings daily, whether they admit it or not.

I've read elsewhere (one of his blogs, maybe) that he was alarmed at how much time he was losing every day catching up with all the various Tesla-related stuff on the internet. The recent hostility toward him here may have closed the deal.

Given the number of titles he carries (sales, marketing, service) he's probably focusing on those now. I haven't seen any indication that Tesla is seeking a communications specialist (their employment page has no listing), but that's probably what it would take for Tesla to start visiting this forum again.

I'd like to point out that just because someone is not posting as much as they once did, it doesn't mean that they are not reading the site regularly. DS abandoned this site because he was caught publicly misleading a loyal fan base, i.e. all of you... When the information that you are being fed is not accurate, it is more than useless; it is destructive.

I would welcome a new voice from TM, on the condition that that individual made a commitment to honesty and transparency. It is one thing to say "I'm sorry, I can't share that information with you just yet", but it's another thing completely to deliberately mislead a group of loyal followers for the sake of marketing convenience.

I will preface my next statement by acknowledging that it is speculative: Perhaps Darryl has been asked to "transition" from Communications to another area of the Company because he handled the VIN#/P# situation so poorly. A professional marketer/communicator should not get "ruffled" so easily.

Whatever he ends up doing, I wish him well.
