Wheels have that propeller look simmilar to the Mercedes SLR wheels....I am a fan...

Tesla continues the backward wheel look...

Would love to have a grill shot...

That "bullnose" front profile also smells of Kazamai.

Keep in mind that this is a prototype. Frequently when prototypes undergo crash testing the bumper design gets modified.

I showed this to my wife and she had two questions:

#1: How can they make it so much cheaper than the Roadster? (Long answer starting with no carbon fiber body).
#2: If they have a drivable prototype now, why are they projecting late 2011 for production (Long answer starting with building a factory, and doing all the crash testing).

How did you do that ?

Grab, flip, crop, magic wand background, invert selection, copy, paste, blend, smudge, blur, more smudge, more smudge, rubber stamp tool, more, more, more... Oh and I cut out one quarter of the front wheel, rotated it about 6 degrees and covered the guy. Yes, I know the back is sloppy, but I left it that way because I really don't know what it will look like. Yes it may be taller and more squared off.

I am thinking that is really close - sans the high spoiler. I think if the line from the spoiler is flattened out a bit you would have it pretty close to the mark. And I am sensing that the chrome down the sides would stop at the front door instead of carrying through. Overall excellent job and pretty close. I think the CLS overlay is amazing. Really gives a sense of how similar they may in fact be ....

Yeah, I don't know what they plan to do with the aluminum (not chrome). We know it is in back, and we saw a bit in front that seems to stop at the door. I just pondered what it would look like if it were contiguous and went with it.
Almost certainly the aluminum strip stops somehow in the back, and there is probably some sort of line/crease running along the door handles. The shiny door handles and shiny trim around the windows could be wrong too. I bet I am not that close actually - just playing around with ideas.

I'm thinking it is not. No disrespect to TEG's photoshop skills, but that is not pretty.

To my mind it looks too close to the Rover 3500 Vitesse, which really needs to stay in the 70's.

I hope for Tesla's sake it doesn't get picked up by the press!

Also, you can see in the real pic that the aluminium strip stops at the front door.
