    New Model 3 Performance news

My only gripe and this is a pattern forming now across a few reviewers. Reviewers want it to be more playful at the limits but don't use the very mode that allows this. When they review say a M Car, they don't just ignore the M mode that makes it playful, they engage the RWD only modes, they...

Mine also is on the RAV. It is interesting that they rate it at 461kw on government paperwork, although that's just the maximum motor power, not the battery power.

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Looks like it's underway to Port Kembla for our Sydney peeps. Final payment made, so 22nd June delivery shouldn't be delayed for me in Brisbane.

Yep, assuming it all goes ok, cars should be able to hit the 20th june onwards delivery windows.

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

A quick tip, in the draggy app, you can just change your units from one to the other and as long as the car went through that mark, it will record both mph and kph for any given run. So I found a 100-200kph for a 2022 m3p of 9.48sec in 423meters. Theres a few, they hover in the mid 9's, theres...

If you are referring to Turandot, it's currently still anchored just north of Brisbane due port delays. They won't come off that ship until Sunday or Monday. Deliveries are scheduled from Thursday 20th and mine is on Saturday 22nd.

27/5, so whats that, 2 and half weeks ago. logically the car is on Turandot, but they are scheduling deliveries before it's even off the boat which seems bold

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

I had from 20th to 24th. I picked the Saturday. Maybe our cars were on a earlier ship

Well they must be confident the ship will be dropping off.

Interestingly my edd updated from 22nd-30june to now show 16th-30th June. Seems unlikely a delay should make the end be sooner 😆 Shame the turandot is delayed but it won't be too long.

It's a educated guess. The shipping schedules/positions are easy enough to find, for example we know TURANDOT car carrier left Shanghai 15 days ago, went to Tokyo and is docking in Brisbane today, then Port Kembla, then Melbourne. It's a known Tesla transporter. Combined with on my invoice I...

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Yeh it depends on the market I guess. I guess I meant cheap compared to other cars in it's class. It punches well above its weight class. Here in Australia there is huge federal incentives to lease EV's. It makes a M3P about the same as a Audi S3. Makes it a no brainer really.

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

I guarantee you, a LG 24' M3P will be faster in every way than a Boosted LR from any speed. It will feel faster, the 0-60 is more than 6 tenths faster the 1/4 mile is more than 6 tenths faster, it will trap 5mph~ faster, it's a different league. The US spec is just a touch faster again. It's all...

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Well 1) We don't know what the optimal difference is. Basing the entire thing on ONE run is stupid. It will be weeks until there is enough data to be conclusive. I suspect for a stock car with all things being equal and optimal will be 10.8@124 v 11.1@122, something like that. But time will...
