Tritium asks Qld government for up to $90m bailout

One of the problems was the cost to manufacture in Australia and freight to the rest of the world. Australia is the highest cost economy in the OECD for manufacturing. They were too slow to close manufacturing in Australia (Dec 2023) and shift it off shore. As I mentioned earlier, Taiwan based...

Tritium asks Qld government for up to $90m bailout

Just because they have entered administration, doesn't mean it is the end - yet. The administrators, if unable to restructure (likely) will attempt to sell the company & IP. LiteOn Technology Corporation (Market Cap ~ 11b AUD) was looking at injecting capital earlier this year. It's possible...

I have fond memories of that site. My Model 3 was delivered to that car park (the chargers in front of the old Mitsubishi building) over 4 years ago. Solar Garage wasn't built at the time. Sadly, the Solar Garage was always going to turn out that way. It was built by a consortium of...

Chargefox says it is currently offline (9:03am) - so I suspect no power. This DCFC appears to have three states - 1. fully operational, 2. port b output line relay fault and 3. Dead (No power). It generally cycles between those states over the coarse of 24/48 hours. I don't know if they have a...

The cabinet is the switchboard with breakers and probably metering. Not sure too much on the details for comms. Yes, It is not the greatest site. The carpark has always had 10 overhead lights, that have not worked for years. They are fed from the same padmount transformer than the DCFC -...

The Seaford Kempower DCFC is keeping the RAA on its toes. It appears to have no power again tonight, which is becoming a regular occurrence. I suspect something seems to be tripping the breakers/RCD. The 7kW ChargeMate always stays powered up. It also often reports having a faulty port B - I'm...

There are a couple. Any enterprising individual or business can install a DCFC and get Chargefox to act as the clearing house for payments. I don't think MRS property are behind it as they have numerous other smaller shopping centers around and I don't believe any of those have charging. But...

Can't say I do. Moana Heights Shopping Center is managed by MRS Property Pty Ltd. I emailed them asking who the asset owner is, but they never responded. According to someone on Plugshare, Chargefox has no ETA. I wonder if Chargefox can tell use who the asset owner is?

I also wondered about that. It must be a technical reason, although I think Normanville successfully has both AC and DC chargers on Chargefox. I responded to your post back in November - at-least they are now switching on the ChargeMates. My impression in the early days of the roll out, most of...

    Charging Network RFID Cards (MiFare)

I understand your BP card has 14 hexadecimal digits (characters). After my original post, I was looking at the MiFare app notes on UIDs/Unique Identifiers and note while the original batch of MiFare Classics had a 4 byte UID ('Single Size UID') or 8 hexadecimal characters, newer cards have a...

I don't think the Kempower cabinet is deep enough. For 350kW, you need 7 power modules. My understanding that cabinet only holds a maximum of 4, hence 200kW Max (assuming all 4 power modules installed). The RAA has normally been using the Satellite units for higher 200kW "ultra-rapid" sites.

Tritium asks Qld government for up to $90m bailout

What is the state of play in Oz with V2G?

My understanding ISO15118-20 with Bidirectional Power Transfer (BPT) supports both DC & AC (Subject to Vehicle Hardware of course). For AC_BPT there are GeneratorMode configuration parameters such as Single Phase/Three Phase, Grid Following (V2G)/Grid Forming (V2L, V2H) etc.
