Why the heck are they only putting a 7kW charger in Bordertown, right on the highway!
There's a 200kW site also planned for Bordertown.

RAA Charge website has been updated with sites under construction for December 2023.

With Ceduna & Elliston under construction this month, when Port Lincoln is done that'll be all the planned Eyre Peninsula DC sites done :)
(and then they just need to add more sites ;P)
The Ceduna Foreshore Hotel is already often visited by EV owners charging from the East-West Tesla destination chargers, soon to be a case of a short walk and a fast lunch.

It’s irrelevant if the RAA of SA ever get around to installing tax payer funded single phase type 2 (7kw) at Nullarbor or Border Village, crowd funded Delta 22kw DC have been installed by the Australian EV community at Nullarbor and Mundrabilla Roadhouses-

Regarding the RAA Seaford Site, a Concrete truck is onsite at the moment pouring the foundations for the charger. Trenches were dug on Monday and electrical conduit laid.

What is interesting is the conduits head towards a SAPN Switching Cubicle, not a Padmount Transformer, so I do wonder if SAPN has to install a Padmount Transformer at this site. If so, it will be anyone's guess what the delay on that is.
Visited today, right out the back of the shopping centre carpark.
Not online yet.

Looks like the Port Lincoln DC charger will be installed somewhere else after all.
(as per the PlugShare listing - Whirly's Car Park (Coming Soon) | Port Lincoln, SA | EV Station - Development Application 23028283 from RAA has this site listed at 15-17 PORTER ST PORT LINCOLN SA 5606 - but looks like they've had to move it?)

A “maximum term” of 5 years? That’s very odd. Or a typo. Normally infrastructure leases have a minimum term, with options to extend.
Most likely implemented in case there is major backlash from the community or they want to change the use of the land on which the car park is located, giving the Council a free out clause when the 5 years expires. If no or little backlash, they would continue to renew.

Not sure how recent this is, but just noticed on the RAA Charge site that idle fees are in effect at the Burnside Civic Centre site - EV charging stations

Due to the high public demand for EV charging sites in South Australia, we may issue idle fees at some sites when your vehicle remains connected to a charging station well after it's finished charging.

Idle fees are currently in effect at the following charging sites:

  • Burnside Civic Centre, Tusmore - Ultra-rapid charging site
You'll receive a notification through your Chargefox app when your vehicle's charging is complete. If your vehicle isn't unplugged within 10 minutes, we'll start issuing idle fees. Idle fees will be charged at $1 per minute and will be invoiced by email, separate from your charging session.

Seems to be the same rules as the WA EV network - though the idle fees aren't mentioned in the Chargefox app for the Burnside RAA Charge site... yet?

Confirmed on the RAA Daily blog that the idle fees rollout started Feb 1 - so a happy coincidence I noticed it on the site yesterday.

Idle fee now also showing for the site in the Chargefox app since my post yesterday.
