This really is doing my head in.
I live in a rural area with single track roads all over the place.
EVERY single time I forget to turn off emergency lane assist when I start the car I get aggravating damgerous klaxons going off and dodgy steering once or twice per trip as the car tries to...
So i live in a rural area of mainly single track roads.
Bit of an issue I am finding is that the tesla keeps thinking I have fallen asleep at the wheel.
There are a few passing spaces that I regularly end up in that set of a cacophany of chimes and corrective movements from the wheel...
Sorry to make a new thread - but I think my request has been buried in the old one...
Oh Deer.
As per the video below... I narrowly missed a deer this week. AP wasn't engaged - but emergency assisted braking was.
I managed to slam my brakes and slowed enough to avoid impact (by inches I...
Bit close for comfort. No AP on single track roads but I saw it just in time and the brakes worked well.
Would be nice if the car recognised this as a threat and braked for me... but no sign of that.
I see there is a little bit of green corrosion starting on one of the pins of my electrical adaptor for plugging in at home.
It is on the outside of a garage so a bit exposed to the elements despite being covered when not in use.
Is it Ok to use some di electric grease to protect these types...
So... only had my car a couple of months and someone reversed into me in a car park.
They drove off without stopping. Small scuffs on the front....no indentation thank goodness. Local garage say they can buff it out for less than £50.
Anyway... without having the whole thing on camera...
I have tried out my tow hitch this week (official Tesla one) with my bike rack - all worked well.
However... it would be a bit of a pain for me having to remove and reinsert the tow hitch every time i want to use it.
I would ideally just leave it attached all the time now.... maybe just...
Did a big road trip last week going from Skye to Dundee and back.
What a pain.
Was really relying on a rapid charge in Pitlochry... both CCS chargers broken. Speaking to folk on the helpline they seemed totally clueless. One of the units didn't have a unit number on it so they had a lot of...
So not a big priority... but just wondered how you guys found the atari games?
Most of them work great for me with my cheap amazon game controller....
but centipede.... there is very little fine control. Moving left or right with my gnome it is like he moves too far each time... impossible to...
So cuphead hasn't been working for me since I got the new car as it needs wi fi to update and there is no way my house wi fi will go far enough.
Thought about buying a range extender just to sort this one issue out... but then realised I have an old router in my box of spares from when we...
So I went for an adapter in the end to solve the problem of me having a type 1 on my wall charger.
Got it from here:
Type 1 to Type 2 32amp Converter with 0.3m cable
Fits nicely and now charging at 20 amps.
I know some people recommended I get the whole cable changed... but this avoided...
Wow - huge increase in the stock price again today. Good for all us owners if the company gets onto a more stable footing with the markets.
Could this finally be the tipping point where the massive short seller investment starts to get burned for good?
As the price rises more and more...
So I thought i would post in case this helps anyone having trouble getting dashcam set up with a new SD card/ hard drive.
I bought this storage solution:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07855LJ99/ref=pe_3187911_185740111_TE_item
Setting up dashcam and sentry mode should have been easy i...
So I understand that repeated rapid charging can be bad for your battery in the long term... though i am still a bit unclear how much constitutes a risk.
Where I live in the UK there are quite a few 'charge my car' points that give an option for an AC type 2 connection, but also a 50kW 125A...
I was worried about buying a Tesla based on some of the reports going round the forums... thought I should highlight some good practice!
Bought a car from inventory 3 weeks ago - discounted price... tow bar that I wanted... black colour
I live really far from Edinburgh and was worried about...
Obviously i will be asking a Tesla rep this question... but would be good to be pre armed with info of others who have experience.
Hopefully picking up a model 3 soon and want to trade in my wife's car.
Trouble is we live hundreds of miles from the pick up point and there is no way she can...
So I got a trade in quote from Tesla which is not amazing - but I could possibly just go for it for a few reasons.
One thing though... they say it is based on minor cosmetic damage only.
Fair enough - but I have a few bashes on a couple of panels.
I would fully expect that to reduce the...
I don't know why this is hard to work out... but i am getting confused.
I am switching to a model 3 from an ampera. Since it is a type 2 plug vehicle I thought i was fine to use my home charger as is with the Tesla.
But looking at this cable for example...
Portable Mode 2 16A J1772 EVSE...
So I am one of those tight gits who is completely put off my dream car (model 3) just because of the luxury car tax nonsense.
Without getting into arguments about how fair it is / whether it should make much difference with a purchase this large....
I am basically ready to order the minute we...
