I have free charging options near my home. I did not have a home charging adapter for the first two weeks. After getting it installed, my range anxiety went to none. Worth the money for convenience and peace of mind. My MY is full every morning. I don’t even think about it.

I found that my Y was super quiet when brand new, had some creaking, buzzing and popping from about 400 miles until about 2000 miles, then settled down and is now quiet again.

Reset the extents. Roll it down all the way. Then hold the button down for 10 seconds. Then roll it up all the way. Then hold that (up) for 10 seconds. Should now be reset.

How many miles on the X? Warranty? I’d say go with the Y. Newer tech.

I’d focus on the space aspect. The rear seats of the 3 are not very big and there is little floor space and little trunk space. The S has much more rear seat space and more trunk space. If you need the space, get the S. Otherwise the 3 with the newer systems is better.

Put the window all the way down. Then hold the button down for 10 seconds. Put the window all the way up. Then hold the button for 10 seconds. That should reset the extents. My Y “forgets” the extents periodically and I have to remind it.

It has also gotten warmer so presumably your air conditioning is working harder and your compressor is running more.

I was driving around last night and for the first time that I can recall there was no pause or hesitation rolling through an intersection with a green light. Didn't have to hit the stalk.

After half an hour or so of driving it seems like there are fewer false stops at intersections and some stopping/traffic control alerts now have a black background where before they were white backgrounds. And where before an intersection might require two separate stalk pull events to continue...

My knees do not fit in the back of a M3. And not enough floor space. Very uncomfortable. Today I rode in the back of the MY - plenty of space. And the view upwards is unparalleled.

Perhaps Wifi will be better behaved. Even on 2020.12.10 I still had to manually reconnect Wifi and sometimes reboot to get it to connect.

Just went from 2020.5.10.3 to 2020.5.10.7. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth both spotty in 5.10.3. Had to reboot the Y just to get connected again to Wi-Fi to download the update.
