The Tesla app in my iPhone no longer connects to the car. It sits and spins forever. This means I cannot remotely control the car. It seemed to be fixed after a reboot of the car (pressing the two buttons on the steering wheel). But the improvement didn’t stick
Edit: I can remotely control the...
I had to replace the rear stock tires with a pair of Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires. Today I used Autopilot on a 60 mile round trip. The car was weaving slightly but noticeably in the freeway lanes. Just enough to be annoying. It didn’t do this before. It held a nice steady line in the...
A common answer to how to clean and protect the interior of the vehicle is “Just use 303”.
There are about 5 or more “303” products for cleaning the interior of vehicles. The ones for cars seem to be “speed detailer” “interior cleaner” and “protectant”. But wait! There is also “automotive...
I’m finding areas in Arizona that would be a great drive but charging stops are out of the way. It would make a day drive into a long day drive. Is RV Parky app a good enough way to find places to charge?
Seems like RV parks are missing out on a revenue source. If an RV park knows it is in a...
I note people here and YouTube talking about the features of the new 2020.40.x update. I got an update for my Model 3 last night that is numbered 2020.36.x. I assume the .40 is the more rapid “advanced” update path, which I currently do not have enabled.
Long story short, I want to understand...
We picked up our new Model Y at the Scottsdale delivery center this morning. Long range, white with black interior.
We took a checklist compiled from flaw reports made to Reddit. We found nothing wrong with the fit, finish and functionality of the vehicle.
My wife named it “Courage, Kindness...
Yesterday my wife and I drove to Canyon Lake. It is a reservoir about 45 miles east of Phoenix, Arizona.

It is such a joy to drive winding and up and down roads without the need to use the brakes!
It wasn't until I entered the Tesla world that I ever heard of door lock covers.

Is this really a thing that is needed for protection? Or are they more about the look of the door opening?
We are looking for a windshield sun shade for our Model Y. It appears from product listings on Amazon that the shades for a Model 3 also fit a Model Y. Is that to be believed or, to ensure a good fit, should I be seeking a product that is specific to the Model Y?
We took delivery of a Model 3 for me a few months ago. We are going to order a Model Y for my wife. She has a tesla.com account so that she can use my Model 3.
Should she place the order for the Model Y? Does it matter which Tesla account places the order?
I see other threads here that this is not a new issue. I suppose I am venting since Tesla isn't doing anything.
Unasked, I was offered a year of free supercharging if I took delivery before the end of June. I took delivery June 25th. I still have not be granted the free supercharging. After...
There is much discussion here and elsewhere about sleep mode. There are settings and practices to not wake the car, etc. I don’t find much about sleep mode in the manual. Maybe I missed it. Is there some place I can school myself about sleep?
Where do you put your in-car trash?
In my previous car I would hang a grocery bag on the front seat arm rest. Easy to throw away receipts or other small trash and get rid of it when the bag is full. The Model 3 armrest can’t hold a bag like that and, I’m hoping for something that looks better...
