Thinking of getting a N2itive Lowering Links and/or alignment kit but have questions

I have a 2022 Model S Plaid (built in December of 2021 so without all the upgrades). I had some bad half shaft shudder when punching it in medium and low suspension a few months ago. Tesla did replace them at that time in the front. Fast forward a few months later and while the noise and...

2021 Model Year Refresh: Owners' Thoughts?

I had got a PDF quote from Tesla regarding a retrofit. Looks about the same, $1825 for the MCU, + Labor + Tax. So a bit over two grand. Looks like I should just bring my steam deck along with me when I stop to charge or chill.

2021 Model Year Refresh: Owners' Thoughts?

I'm curious where the cut off is. I got my 2022 Model S Plaid in early December 2021. Yeah I'm not a fan of not having the tilted screen, but I got a lower price on my car and a really low rate. I'm waiting in FSD jail so I won't be able to tell about steam. Will see soon enough....

    FS: 2016 - 2021 Model X 22 Turbine Wheels - Pristine Condition - Central OH

I’ve got $1500 in them plus the refinishing. I can’t go any lower than that.

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

Yeah mine was delivered in December of 2021 as a 2022 model year on 19’s with PZeros from the factory.

    Winter Tire for S Plaid?

I had something similar to this on my Model S Plaid last year when I took delivery in December. Couldn’t find the winter PZeros anywhere in stock for my 19” wheels. I settled on some Winter Sotozero 3’s that matched the front but not the rear load rating. Checked the axel weight with tire rack...

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

I’m in the same boat and I’ve been through 5 Teslas in 2.5 years (currently own 2). I have to say that the BMW i7 has me really tempted (I do realize that is in no way a plaid replacement). It seems like another week another creak from the car in a new spot.

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

Thankfully I’m almost 12k miles in and my vibration hasn’t been any worse than the 40-50mph range at low acceleration. I haven’t decided to mess with anything either as I’m not sure it won’t make them worse. My factory PZeros are starting to make some noise though, they probably have about 8k...

For Exchange: 21" Arachnid wheels and tires for 19"Tempest wheels and tires + cash

I actually might be interested and could meet half way (can bring a jack, and torque wrench with me). I'm in Ohio so I'm not terribly far away. Currently my summer tires are mounted on my martial wheels so I'd have to swap them to my tempest wheels. They have about 6000 miles on them (plus the...

S/X Palladium Motorized Screen Tilt Kit

I’ve had mine manually tilted in my Model S Plaid for a few months now. Honestly thinking of putting it back in the stock position. It looks cool, but Most of my controls are on the left anyway. I sat in the passenger seat the other day while my wife was driving and it just looked “weird”. At...

Well I’m curious now. I just place my order and my EDD is between December 08 - December 22. I hope mine doesn’t catch this flu.

I find it interesting that they already have a Gen2 front half shaft? Hopefully this will be a permanent fix as well.

Let us know how it goes. I’m hoping it gets fixed for you and the rest of the owners.

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

I’ve been watching this thread closely. I had a Pre refresh 2021 model x with the shudder. Then they replaced the half shafts with the “permanent fix new parts” on the 3rd repair. The shudder was gone but this really weird vibration crept in at the same speeds you all are facing. I sold the car...

2021 Model X Performance Non launch mode 0-60 time

I'm looking at selling my current Model X to get into a less expensive Long Range Model X when they are released next year. I know that car says 0-60 of 3.8 seconds. I feel like my current car is more than quick enough for what I want, and I rarely launch the car. I'm just wondering how much of...

News for Model X owners with the dreaded shudder

I have driven my car a few times since the repair and since my last post. I don’t have any low speed hum while turning. I did have this once when getting my winter tires installed. It turns out they didn’t realize the wheels were also a different size not just the tires. Thankfully I only moved...

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

So to update my progress. It seems that while the grinding noise has went away, I now have some vibration when doing regen at highway speeds that is sometimes accompanied with some small noise. It sometimes sounds like a wheel bearing is starting to fail. Two techs drove the car with me in it...

Model X Performance - PRX21 - While Driving in Ludicrous Mode and changing to sport, car stuck in chill mode

It never came back so I didn’t really follow up with them. I casually let them know about it. They said to keep an eye on if it happens again.

News for Model X owners with the dreaded shudder

So I just got my Model X back today from the updated fix. While most of my acceleration shudder is gone it is not at smooth as it should be. Not too big of a problem, but what started happening is at highway speeds when I let full regen kick in there is a roughness (vibration) which is audible...

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

I would take it in now and start the process of then ordering parts if they haven’t already had them in stock. Most likely they will swap it out.

News for Model X owners with the dreaded shudder

So I have a Model X Performance delivered on New Years Eve last year. Had the shudder almost from day one, got the first half shafts replaced at 1100 miles. It came back around 4000 miles. I've been staying in low for the most part (and will now be staying there permanently after the...

I’ve got an appointment in. Columbus, OH SC for the same thing on June 25th for my MXP. Here is hoping it is a permanent fix. Im on my second set of shafts since we picked this up on New Year’s Eve in 2020. First replacement was at 1100 miles and this will be the second at around 5700 miles.

Model X Performance - PRX21 - While Driving in Ludicrous Mode and changing to sport, car stuck in chill mode

So I was driving with my wife to get a sweet treat yesterday and I thought I would put the car in sport mode to not make it so "jumpy" for her riding as a passenger in case I'm a little too "generous" taking off from a stop light / sign. When I did this, the car gave me a warning saying...

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

Well I when I pick up the car in about an hour I intend to get all of these questions answered. It has been a great car otherwise (other than the turn signal broken on day one).

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

So my wife's Model X just got the front half shafts replaced. We picked up the Model X Performance on New Years Eve last year (12/31/2020). They called this a one-time good will replacement. I brought it in the first time and they were surprised that it happened on a car with such low mileage...

Buying Model X for the wife, just test drove a Model X Performance, need help

Yeah thats where I'm at. Long range 20 inch wheels and I changed to a 7 seat package for the better AC. I was more concerned with passing speed from 50-75 and I didn't feel much of a difference between sport and Ludicrous

Buying Model X for the wife, just test drove a Model X Performance, need help

So I have currently a Model 3 Performancd I got in June. I'm surprising my wife with a car for Christmas. She had driven a older hybrid and liked it well enough. I did a test drive today in a Model X Performance. It was great. The sales and service people both said separately that the Model X...

Gets up to 17a charging and cycles back to zero

So the nut holding the wires wasn't on tight and the wires were just leaning against the terminal for one side. The neutral being pulled off the terminal was a few years ago. The ground settled a bit and pulled it down. I watched him wrap the cable around and I've got plenty of cable there...

Gets up to 17a charging and cycles back to zero

I had the power company come out today and they found that one of my 240 legs was barely making contact with the house. The nut wasn't keeping it connected well. The tech was surprised i had power. This could have been my problem.... Strange that I didn't have any other issues in the house...

Gets up to 17a charging and cycles back to zero

Talk me out of ending my Model 3 lease early to go purchase one

I did talk to them yesterday. I talked to leasing, that sent me to customer service, that sent me to sales. Essentially I would need to pay for my lease in full to move to something else with them. I'm not doing that, and that is the expected response I had. The other option is to swap it to...
