Questions about tracking the car (road course)

    1. Will using the heater help delay the powertrain from overheating and limiting power? Using ICE logic here: taking the heat from the engine and dumping it into the cabin... not sure if this applies to the Tesla. (Assuming 60-70deg temps) 2. I understand the high energy use on track (1000+...

Checked Alignment: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

Car MS60, with 19" wheels and coil suspension. The car didn't feel stable at freeway speeds so I got the alignment checked. The Ugly Car had almost a half inch of total rear Toe Out... this is a dangerous amount of rear toe out. This much toe out causes the rear to steer the car under...

    No More Aero Wheels

How to calculate cost of a single charge?

Would like to generally understand the math/formula to calculate this. Essentially, what are the formula's behind the charging applet on the Tesla website. Specifically, I'm trying to determine if it's cheaper to charge at home or work Home 236V 40A 29mi/hr $0.16 / kWh Work 204V 30A 19mi/hr...

What temp does the regen-limiting yellow line appear?

At what temp is it normal to see the regen-limiting yellow line? I'm seeing it in the 50's... I assumed it would appear at a much lower temp.

    Model S 60 Corner Weights

Was curious what the car weighed. Right-Left and Cross weights look good. But the MS60 does not have a 50/50 Front-Rear weight split. 2013 Model S 60 Everything removed from the car Options: Tech package + Parcel shelf 19" Factory wheels (I have aftermarket wheels, but they are within 1lbs of...

Does the P85+ (currently) have wider rear wheels?

Design studio currently reads: Months ago, the design studio mentioned wider wheels (text is quoted in old posts)... why change the description if they are still supplying wider wheels? Has anyone looked at the wheel size stamp on the inside of the wheel and confirmed they have a 21x9 rear wheel?

Pics of 21" Wheels with Coil Suspension?

I have a coil suspension and am looking to upgrade my 19" wheels. I'm concerned about the fender gap (space between top of tire and bottom of fender lip) if I get 20" or 21" wheels as the air suspension sits lower than the coil suspension (in normal and low settings). And all the 21" wheels pics...

Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 vs Pilot Super Sport - Opinions Please

I'm going to dump my Goodyears and go with one of these two in a 255/45/19 (neither comes in a 245/45/19). Does anyone have experience with both? I've owned the PS2 and the Pilot Sport Cup (R-compound), but not the Super Sport. Is the Super Sport supposed to be a more aggressive / stickier...

Car doesn't feel stable at freeway speeds

Have a 2-month old 60; 19" wheels/Goodyears, standard suspension; ~2000 miles. It's my DD and I just took a ~650 mile trip in it. Absolutely LOVE the car, expect this problem... Problem has been there since day 1 - no change 2 months later. 42psi or 45 psi all around - no change. Steering...
