Might be best to cancel old policy for prorated refund and buy a new one then. I just added the additional coverage but definitely costs skewed higher.

I think the major problem is once HW4 is released the R&D to improve the function of HW3 will be reduced immediately and drastically reduced over time. Eventually we will be forgotten and won’t receive any meaningful updates leaving us with not even a half baked product that has been paid for...

Do you always take corners slow enough for minivans to pass you? The scoring system is bullshit. Having maintained no lower than a 98 for over 6 months is proof I know how it works. Driving to maintain that score his a horrible experience for owning a sports sedan.

Drove an additional 60 miles on AP to make 100000% sure I’m over the 100 AP miles necessary. Will see if they let anymore of us in. Very frustrating. If not I’m done with the safety score bs. Been driving like a grandma in my p100d since the button appeared.

California is the state I was referring to. It may be only paused in a lemon law case though (I am not 100% sure but definitely worth calling and finding out as I believe it is paused for non lemon law cases as well)...

Before you do anything check your states laws. Most likely you are still in warranty. If the car has spent more than 12 days in the shop during the last 8 years for warranty work the car’s warranty should be extended a day for each day it was in the shop.

They ended up replacing the mcu2 with a refurbished unit and that seems to have fixed the issue. Though two other issues came up from that replacement that have subsequently been resolved as well.

When I added the frunk latch recall to an existing mobile appointment I had made for the camera retrofit and they transferred it to a service center appointment they kept the camera install. I was not previously invited.

Last I talked to him he said they are still working on it. If it does become available they will contact buyers of previous x-care warranty’s and offer to sell it as an add on addendum. Hopefully it becomes available in the future.

I explained in depth how it managed to happen for me in the early adopters fsd thread. Basically I think it was luck and having the mobile appointment team switch my appointment to a service center appointment because I asked to add something to the service visit that they can’t do.

True level 5 will likely not be a one time cost. Will be $xxxxx amount initially and $xxx a month as the manufacturer will have to take liability for any accidents. The monthly fee will be just another form of insurance against payouts.

Cameras upgraded last week. Have a 99 safety score over past month. See a new software version to install. Get excited. See it’s 2021.44.30.8. Extremely disappointed 😭. Dunno what else I can do to get into the beta and get rid of this annoying safety score.
