Perhaps I'm too trusting of IO, but I have all schedules in the M3 off and charge limit at 100%. I plug car in then immediately hit the "stop charge ' button on-screen. I've always received a schedule and it's worked. Haven't a clue if or when the car wakes up or is woken up by octopus.

Right, I've got my IO sorted now. I had gone through the switch process and was getting charging schedules which worked but the app still said tariff was Go. I spoke with someone at Octopus support and explained the issue and they said this was very strange and shouldn't happen like that...

This is strange because in the general comments about outgoing Octopus it states: "Currently, you can't be on both Outgoing Octopus and any EV tariff at the same time."

I'd agree with this. My car has been sitting at 2023.20.9 with screen saying up to date as of 30 July. Did a reset just now and lo and behold it starts looking for and downloading 2023.26.7 I'm not sure when the car would have notified me...

Very similar to my setup. I also have an Eddi solar divert for excess energy into immersion heater and this kicks in every day now so I use no gas water heating. Most days I draw nothing from the grid apart from charging the car on Go overnight.

I have a Pod Point and all its wiring etc is in the meter box. My Givenergy inverter doesn't "see" EV charging as a house usage so currently I cannot divert excess solar to the car. Pod Point have remotely changed settings on the charger so it is allegedly solar compatible, but only up to 4kW...
