I find the tax credit for the LR M3 on the Tesla web site now.

Would that be for all LR M3 sold in 2024?

Model 3 Highland (US) Waiting room

InsideEvs has posted an article saying its a done deal. I checked Tesla web site and tax credit is still only available for the Performance. Tesla has a car the way speced it in inventory. I will need to be able to take delivery in 2024 but I prefer to wait until the last quarter of the year.

Model 3 Highland (US) Waiting room

I would be surprised and over joyed. Does not make sense that the Performance is the lower priced car after tax credit.

The 2026 will have an AI personality. Something like that movie "Her."

Model 3 Highland (US) Waiting room

Maybe you should get the Performance. With the tax credit it costs less than the Long Range.

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

The 18" wheels should be an option for the Performance. Active suspension should be an option on the Long Range. After adding the 18" wheels the cost, post tax credit is very close to the Long Range, but you got active suspension. The only downside is reduced range which in the real world may...

Using only the camera turn signal when changing lanes

A glance at the side mirror provides an opportunity to see a car that is in the next lane over that might be lane changing into the same lane that you want to change to. Neither mirror, camera nor blind spot warning will catch this, but a view of the side window might. A problem when on multi...

Model 3 Highland (US) Waiting room

If you got salvaged seats that were black from the same year and model car, I cannot see why they wouldn't fit. Also, I suppose you could buy seats as replacement parts.

Tesla launches Model 3 Highland refresh in North America - No Performance model listed as of 01.10.2024

Effectively, it has gone up more than that because of the $7500 tax credit.

Why choose Model 3 over Model Y if you can have more trunk space?

I have three reasons to prefer the Model 3. It has more range. It is more fun to drive. It is less expensive (This may not be true at this moment, but I am sure it will be true again soon). The Model Y does not have enough space for me to not want a true utility vehicle. A trunk is safer and...

Tri Motor Model 3 in China

The article says for China only, but if it were manufactured it seems it would be marketed in Europe and Australia just like the rest from Shanghai. I have my doubts for a tri motor Model 3 anywhere really, at least for now. Maybe they would do something like that in response to a competitor if...

    Launch is Imminent

Were the CT's that have been delivered to customer the $100K trimotor version?
  27. W

    Launch is Imminent

It depends on how many kinds of trailers the CT will tow. The owner of the CT might have a flatbed for construction work, a boat, a travel trailer and a horse trailer.

    Does acceleration boost affect range?

Don't tell her about adding it to the car.

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Higher pack voltage results in more efficient power delivery so as power is increased a higher voltage is beneficial. Motors that would improve performance from 50-80 would be welcome as throttle response is an important attribute for a sporty road car.

Tesla sales rep told me things about tax credit, and M3 Highland I don’t believe.

Highland Model 3 cars have been spotted driving on US roads several times. They have MFG plates and are marked as Engineering. They have legal lights, I don't know if they are the same as Shanghai versions or where they were actually built.

Are there any acceptable tires for my M3 w/19" rims available from Costco

Theoretically, Costco can get tires anywhere and you would still get their installation deal, I am not sure the price for the tires would be better though.
  36. W

    Tire replacement reommendation?

I would add the latest OEM tires on the 2024 Model 3 to my list of considerations. They are made by Hankook. The tirerack.com is a useful resource for information but might not have the best price. I got a better deal on Amazon for my latest set of tires.

Reuters: "Tesla readies revamped Model 3 with project 'Highland' -sources" [projected 3rd quarter 2023]

Thats a feature I was excited about. Disappointed that it didn't make it. Perhaps it will be on the North American release.

    Does acceleration boost affect range?

I think it would be fair to say that your rate of consumption at 75 mph on I5 would be the same.

Will the J1772 Tesla Wall Charger charge both my 2023 Model Y and my wife's 2021 BMW 330e J1772 equipped car?

The CC is the most compatible after adapter. The Wall Connector will take a few more seconds to connect and I have lost functionality of location-based delay charge time feature of the car, when using a Tesla Wall Connector. On the other hand, the Tesla Wall Connector will charge, it just does...

Reuters: "Tesla readies revamped Model 3 with project 'Highland' -sources" [projected 3rd quarter 2023]

I agree there is a market and perhaps a necessity for tiny cars in Europe, but not so much in the USA. The Smart is dangerous on freeways, and they were targets for pranksters who like to tip them over with their bare hands.

    50A NEMA on 60A SubPanel

Think of the future when doing these home infrastructure projects.
  44. W

    50A NEMA on 60A SubPanel

Get quotes both ways. A sub panel that won't be used for any other additional circuits is an unnecessary additional cost. But, that depends on the situation. If you want a sub panel then that would be the thing to do.

    Tesla Universal Wall Connector

I suppose they could hold out but it seems like a bad decision to me. About 75% of EVs are NACS already. Some states are requiring charging companies to support NACS or they won't receive subsidies. I would be less likely to purchase a car that was non standard, it would have to be extremely...
