Yeah, with being tapped into the cambus it should only open with parked and unlocked. The biggest downside would probably be routing the cable down if your M3 is pre mid '19 and doesn't have that "door" in the bottom trunk area. If it doesn't have it, you'll have to take the whole bumper off...

There's no cutting of plugs or wires. Just like tlr1000 said, the kit comes with the 5 bare wires with no connection on them. That way, you can fish it up the rubber tube easier. Once it's up, you can solder or butt connect the wires with the harness.

Yup, zero impact at all. We have a M3 that's 3M wrapped and there's zero impact on any sensors.

Try to unplug the soft close cord that attaches directly into the controller. See if the soft close latch moves.

If you lock it manually, does the soft close latch go down?

We just did a road trip from Socal to OR and we only use ABRP as a "guide". There's so many variables along the way that will alter your route. Best to let the onboard NAV route you. ABRP was close but missed a couple stops.

Very nice. Nice price too. I like that it includes 2 sets of vinyl since a beginner like me would probably mess up somewhere. Heat gun is a huge plus too. Waiting for video before I commit.

Lol. People are just trying to get rid of all the chrome ascents on their cars. It makes it "sportier" and not old fashion/old car like. :) Also makes it faster and more efficient too!
