This is my March 2024 MSLR, still debating whether I should ask for a replacement, anyone got lucky with a replacement that is actually distortion free?
Sad to report than 2024 MSLR still have the same issues. I think the angle of the rear window makes the distortion worse. My 2016 MS didn’t any any on the rear window and much less on the front. Tesla must have changed supplier to a cheaper one with poor quality control.
I think of creep more as a safety feature. It tells me which gear (D vs R) is selected before I press the accelerator. This can potentially avoid going in the wrong direction and hitting something in rushed situations.
Exactly what we are referring to. The issue is that since 11.3 the steering wheel icon is not available or flickering (and therefore FSD cannot be engaged) on the same streets where it was completely available with previous versions. It’s not a matter of not knowing how engaging FSD works.
Thank you for the info. I got the hubs replaced on last service and the problem still recurred. Any way you could post a link to the rotors that you used? Also, did you change the brake pads and if so did you go with the Tesla ones or a different type? Thanks a lot.
Tesla 19 inch powdercoated rims now but the problem started when I had 21 inch original wheels. I read in some posts that Tesla engineering blamed the rotors warping on powder coating but I saw other people having the same problem with original Tesla rims 🤷♂️
Hello all, same issue with 2016 MS. On my 3rd rotor set (also calipers, pads and hubs were changed). Just took my car to service again for same issue just a month after the rotors were replaced. Same song: “you’re braking too hard”. Has anyone found a long term solution? appreciate your help...
What finally fixed it for me:
“Inspected vehicle verified customer concern. Secured thermal controller harness. Verified issue is no longer occurring at this time”
“Camera alignent required”
Hello, just had my cameras upgraded last week. Right after; I had to calibrate the cameras to get autopilot to work. I then got the FSD beta today. I’m getting “camera alignment required”, and autopilot is not working anywhere.
Anyone else had this? Does software...
So I opted for FSD back in October 2021 and just got my camera upgrade. My SS has been 95+ the whole time with plenty autosteer miles. So what’s the consensus on getting the FSD firmware? Should I just wait or would I have better luck if I un-enroll then re-enroll and drive >100 miles on...
Hello, just got my invitation and scheduled a mobile appointment. The service team told me the B pillar cameras to be 1069104-SR-D and 1069104-SL-D whereas I see in the spreadsheet of the thread that the correct ones (highlighted in green) should be 1496709-S0-B and 1496707-S0-B. Is service...
I have the same problem with 2016 MS 90. Changed rotors twice and calipers once. Problem returned a few weeks later each time. I drive mostly highways on autopilot with occasional autopilot hard braking. Anyone here found a solution? Thx.
if you leave the key fob within range of the car when parked its battery will drain faster (for example if the keys are left in the foyer by the garage door when the car is parked is the garage).
I have an unusual kind of steering wheel vibration. It only happens when autopilot is on and autopilot brakes hard at moderate and high speeds (around 40mph and higher). No vibration if TACC brakes hard and autosteer is off. No vibration if I brake hard. The vibration frequency doesn’t seem the...
I had the same issue with my December 2016 MS90D. They tried the bumper foam thing it didn’t work. This is what finally fixed it as detailed on the invoice:
“Technician found contact between lower duct and radiator support causing vibration. Corrections: Fascia Assembly - Front
R/R front fascia...
I had the front rotors changed twice, the vibration goes away for few hundred miles and then recurs. I don’t brake hard, I drive mostly on autopilot on highways, which does sometime brake hard but not enough to warp the rotors in my opinion. Not sure what the problem is.
Tap on the screen once and you’ll see the orientation selection button to the left of the “navigate” search area. Tap on it to change the map orientation.
I find the main issue is that before V11 the map used to automatically zoom in at low speed and in residential areas, and zoom out on highways. With V11 it stays zoomed out even on residential streets. Did Tesla do that to save data usage?
I have a December 2016 MS and I had purchased FSD and upgraded to MCU2 and HW3 last year and requested FSD beta a month ago. My safety score is 100. I just contacted Tesla online support asking when I’ll be getting the FSD beta software and was told that Tesla just decided that cars similar to...
Kenwood auto did a good job on mine in the end but be prepared for the repair to take 2-3 months for “delayed parts”, “parts damaged in shipping”, and blame game between them and Tesla on who’s responsible for the delays.
Sorry to hear that. Mine seems to have resolved on its own after few fw updates. Not sure exactly when as my car was in the body shop for 2 months after hitting a dear and when I took it back I haven’t heard the buzzing since.
Hello, I installed a gen 3 wall connector in condo garage, 4th level underground. There’s no Wi-Fi or cell reception. Anyone knows a way to update the firmware without data connection? Maybe some way to download the firmware to a laptop and then connect the charger to the laptop and download it...
